coming in Red Hot!

Savannah Letson and Jada Trosper earned region titles in the pole bending and barrel race with commanding leads. Rookie, Kash Loyd finished the year with more than double the points of his fellow bareback riders and bull rider Jesus Villa also won the region by a comfortable margin.

While the boy’s side of the arena saw a battle of the upper classmen, four of the top six All Around girls were rookies. Freshman Kameryn White finished the season as Region III’s champion goat tier, third place for the year in the breakaway, and the 2022-2023 All Around Cowgirl.

As our All Around Champions prepare for state, both Kreece and Kameryn have the same game plan to make sure their horses are in good shape and prepared to perform. Deering adds that his goal is to make the best of every run and to use his stock to the best of their potential. Kameryn is spending her time roping the dummy and working on fast hands in the goat tying. Kameryn adds, “I will focus on one run at a time and let it all play out like God wants it to.”

Overall, Region III is sending a stout group to Abilene in June. We have spent all year pushing each other and supporting each other as Proverbs 27:17 proclaims: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” - Region III is coming in Red Hot!
