CHAMPIONS AND RESERVE CHAMPIONS
with Liela Klein close behind her as reserve. The champion of the calf roping was Mac Street putting Luke Coleman in the reserve champion position. Adisyn Henderson took the title of your girls breakaway and Kerstin Freeman took the reserve champion spot. KP Mathis was the champion of the boys cutting competition with Tyce Scarber in the reserve position. The barrel racing was close all year and ended close with Bella Skinner in the lead as your champion and Steeley Franklin right behind her as the reserve champion. All Region V’s events had many changes in the top spots all through out the year. I know we are all getting in the arena and working hard to bring out very best to Abilene, Texas. Many of the athletes you watched compete this year were seniors. Most of which have signed to different colleges to further their rodeo careers and their education. Blake Blanchard signed with Oklahoma State University. Region V also has two athletes heading to Hill College, Saige Brown and Alex Rodell, Landon Cook and Avery
Landry will head to Panola to continue their rodeo career. Congratulations to Abi Depriest as she heads to Texas A&M in the fall. McNeese State University is where Jacob Lamon and Kash Martin will be headed. Cole Pugh and Brayze Schill have signed with Sam Houston State University. Hunter Ruiz is headed to Weatherford College while Natalie Shaw will attend college at Texas A&M Commerce and Lauren White signed with Northeast Texas Community College. Congratulations to all of our Region V athletes that will head their separate ways in the fall to further their rodeo careers. Good luck to you all in this coming year no matter what your plans may be.
