Nacimiento guatemalteco se expone en el Vaticano A Guatemalan Nativity in the Vatican City
Un nacimiento guatemalteco fue entregado a la Santa Sede como un regalo de la feligresía guatemalteca, anunció el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, el cual se ubica en el aula Pablo VI, en la Ciudad del Vaticano.

Asimismo, el canciller Mario Búcaro aseguró: “Esta es la oportunidad de dar a conocer nuestro país, y agradecer por permitirnos donar al Santo Padre este nacimiento que fue hecho con las manos de nuestros artistas y artesanos”.
En la elaboración participaron más de 30 artistas nacionales, quienes se inspiraron en la imaginería barroca; además, utilizaron la técnica de estofado. El belén consta de tres ángeles, tres ovejas, la sagrada familia y un portal.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a Guatemalan nativity is a gift to the Holy See from the Guatemalan parishioners and will be in the Paul VI Hall in Vatican City.

“This is an opportunity to make our country known and to donate this nativity scene to the Holy Father handmade by our artists and artisans,” said Minister Mario Búcaro.
More than 30 national artists, inspired by baroque imagery, participated in crafting the nativity scene; they used a technique called estofado. The nativity scene has three angels, three sheep, the Holy Family, and a portal.
