President Alejandro Giammattei recognized writer John C. Maxwell’s 10-year work in the country through the “Guatemala Próspera” alliance and the Maxwell Leadership Foundation. He expressed gratitude for the work that has allowed Guatemalans to strengthen their leadership principles.

The awards

The writer was honored for promoting education in the public sector through the foundation’s programs.

The Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (Inguat, acronym in Spanish) named him Ambassador of Honor, the Ministry of Culture and Sports (MCD, acronym in

Spanish) acknowledged him as Messenger of Peace, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented him with the Order “AntonioJosédeIrisarri.”
