ACL CONTINUES HYUNDAI SUPPORT

The company is supporting the category in Tasmania into 2023 ACL Bearing Company (Australia) Pty Ltd partnered with Hyundai Excel Racing Tasmania in 2022 as the inaugural series naming rights sponsor to support the local category and to continue ACL’s long-term involvement with grass roots motorsport. The 2022 season delivered six very exciting rounds spread across the two iconic motorsport tracks in Tasmania – Symmons Plains Raceway in the North and Baskerville Raceway in the South. The racing was very close at each event with the championship decider coming down to the last race of the final round of the series at Symmons Plains Raceway with only two points separating the top two runners.

“We are very pleased with the success of the inaugural season and are pleased to announce our ongoing support for the upcoming 2023 season,” ACL General Manager, Chris Brooks, said.

“ACL is proudly Tasmanian and acknowledges Tasmania’s rich Motorsport heritage.

“It is always our aim to support the local Motorsport and the broader community – grass roots motorsport is the proving ground for the stars of tomorrow.

“The Hyundai’s are an exciting development/ pathway category and this has been evidenced with the three top runners from the 2022 season moving on to new national opportunities in their racing careers for season 2023.”

“We are very pleased to have ACL continue as our naming rights sponsor for 2023,” Hyundai Excel Racing Tasmania President, Craig Twining, said. “ACL’s involvement and support has been invaluable in the development of the category. We are aiming to build on the success of 2022 and are excited for the development opportunities for our young drivers in 2023.”

The 2023 season will kick off with round one to be held at Baskerville Raceway across the 18th and 19th of March, 2023.

“We have been a long – time supporter of Australian Motorsport from grassroots to Supercars,” Chris said.

“In addition, to the support to our local Hyundai category we have also continued our support to Hyundai Excel Racing Association of Victoria.

“It is really exciting to see the enthusiasm and passion that the competitors have and the close racing. It is a great category, and we are proud to be involved.”
