BENDIX ULTIMATE 4WD BRAKE DRUM UPGRADE KITS

Now available for popular 4WD wagons and dual cab utes

Bendix has released an advanced Ultimate 4WD Brake Drum Upgrade Kit for a range of popular 4WD vehicles and dual cab utilities as a direct bolt on replacement making installation relatively simple for a qualified automotive technician. The kit contains two Ultimate 4WD Brake Drums, one Ultimate 4WD Brake Shoe Kit plus a can of Bendix Cleanup and Bendix Rotor Wipes. Bendix explains that the advanced high carbon metallurgy drum increases brake performance and stopping power and has a protective ‘Swiftfit’ zinc coating making it ready to fit. The hub is coated with epoxy with corrosion inhibitors that will not regrade over time, making it look attractive and very functional. Bendix says the bake shoes in the kit are GG friction rated with higher friction capabilities than the OE parts, improving stopping performance overall especially with heavy loads.

The black painted steel shoes also incorporate improved corrosion resistance and are said to have superior strength and durability. Designed to perfectly complement the Ultimate Bendix 4WD Brake Upgrade kit, the Ultimate 4WD Brake Drum Upgrade kit covers the rear brake drums on vehicles such as Ford Ranger; Colorado; Isuzu D-Max; Mazda BT50; Mitsubishi Triton; Nissan D40, D23; Toyota Hilux and VW Amarok with a simple straight forward upgrade. With a recommended retail price of approximately $549 the Bendix 4WD Brake Drum Upgrade Kit is available from leading automotive Bendix stockists nationwide. MILFORD ULT1MATE ELECTRONIC CODING SYSTEM

The next generation in towbar coding

Milford designs, tests, produces and distributes a range of Towbars to suit most vehicle applications including modern passenger motor vehicles, Sports Utility Vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicles including Vans, Cab Chassis and Pickup Utility vehicles. Milford also catalogues a complete range of application specific, plug-and-play trailer wiring harness kits. Advances in vehicle safety systems and drive train technologies have progressed significantly in recent years with most vehicles now requiring electronic ‘re-coding’ to operate safely and to improve the vehicle’s performance when towing. This is particularly the case with increasing vehicle GVMs and larger towing payloads. A few vehicles arrive in Australia ‘trailer prepared,’ however most require some form of vehicle recoding. Any towbar installation that does not include this when required is simply incomplete and will not only compromise vehicle performance but moreover, may result in a potentially dangerous towing situation. Milford says its new Ult1Mate Electronic Coding System can perform these vital re-coding requirements. The system includes a portable coding handset which easily connects to the vehicle OBD II port via the supplied OBD II Male to 15 Pin DB15 Female connecting cable and a PC based support suite which backs up the handset with regular data updates and new vehicle applications. The handset features a high contrast OLED display, easy to navigate user menu and requires no WiFi or internet connection to operate. It is IP rated and made from sturdy, workshop grade materials, says Milford. The PC based Application/User interface is said to be intuitive and easy to use and further supported by Milford’s “legendary” customer service support program which includes video format operating instructions and user guides, print format operating instructions and user guides via download and the 1800 MILFORD Technical Support Hotline. Boasting more than 400 individual vehicle applications and regular vehicle updates, the Ultimate Electronic Coding System enables the operator to perform guided or manual vehicle coding changes to Trailer Stability, Sway Mitigation (VSC/ESC) programs, Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Body Control Module (BCM) enhancements and Advanced Driver Assistance system adaptions. Additionally, Dashboard notifications, displays and alerts can also be updated to reflect the coding changes made. The Milford Ult1Mate Electronic Coding System is available Australia wide and is ready for immediate delivery. For more information, contact the Milford team on www.milford.one or 1800 MILFORD.

NEW FROM TERRAIN TAMER

Terrain Tamer now offers GVM Upgrade kits with Parabolic Leaf Springs for the Ford Ranger

This new offering from Terrain Tamer adds to its already existing range of GVM Upgrade Kits for popular Toyota Hilux and Landcruiser models. Built into the GVM is also the imparted Tow Ball Mass when towing, and a Rated Axle Capacity; a limit set for how much weight should be distributed to each axle. Adding 180kg to the Ranger’s original GVM, the Terrain Tamer Parabolic GVM Upgrade Kits include Terrain Tamer Parabolic Springs and all required suspension components, including Smart Coils where applicable. Terrain Tamer says this provides both a safe and comfortable upgrade solution, with more flex, less shock and exceptional load carrying ability for vehicles that are pushed to their GVM and axle loading limits when towing or loaded with essential gear. Parabolic Spring GVM Upgrade Kits are also available for the Toyota Hilux GUN/ KUN 125/126 and VDJ78/79 Landcruiser models. Along with the rest of the full range of kits, Terrain Tamer says its Parabolic GVM Upgrade Kits have been thoroughly tested and analysed by Multidrive Technology to reach Secondary Stage Manufacturers approval and can be installed either prior to registration or on existing registered vehicles at approved workshops.
