The Event Now in its 19th successful year, the National Show and Sale is the premier event in the alpaca industry’s calendar. Run over four days, it showcases the very best animals and most successful breeders in Australia with both halter and fleece classes. Alongside these are competitions for art, crafts and photography.

The show culminates on the Sunday with the National Auction - the sale of a strictly limited and specially selected number of elite alpacas, an event that always attracts keen domestic and international buyers.
This year, for the first time, a professional, celebrity MC will be present throughout the show. An important part of his role will be the promotion of our sponsors.
The Venue Each year, the event is hosted by a different Region in Australia. This will be only the second time that it has come to South Australia. For the duration of the Show and Sale we will have exclusive use of the impressive Wayville Pavilion at the Royal Adelaide Showground. The Audience The primary audience is made up of breeders, farmers and exhibitors. We can, with a high degree of confidence, expect in excess of 600 animals and 200 fleeces to be shown. The public are always welcome and are encouraged with special displays, demonstrations and exhibits. As, this year, other venues within the showground are hosting major events at the same time, we anticipate that public attendance over the weekend will be the highest ever .
The Sponsorship Packages Our aim is simply to provide our sponsors with the best experience ever at a National Show and Sale. All sponsorship packages can be fine-tuned to meet your needs and if you do not see a package here that appeals, there are many other opportunities that cannot be included in this document. Trophy Sponsorship Over the course of the four days, more than 100 trophies are awarded to successful entrants. Trophy sponsors have their name or that of their company engraved on the trophy and, in most cases, are credited by the MC with a brief announcement (written by the sponsor) and may award the trophy, in person to the winner. From as little as $70
Platinum Sponsorship Following its success in 2009, we will once again be offering a partnership package to just one sponsor. The sponsor will have joint naming rights to the entire show and will appear on all publicity and promotional material alongside the AustralianAlpaca Association. $25,000 Package includes: • Joint naming rights with the Association on promotion and advertising • Full page inside or rear cover advert in show program • Full page inside or rear advert in sale catalogue • Reserved VIP area adjacent to the show ring • Double trade stand • Four nights use of a suite at a top hotel with breakfast • Table for 8 at the gala dinner with beer, wine and soft drinks • Limousine to take you and your guests from your hotel to the dinner venue and return you afterwards

Gold Sponsorship Gold sponsors have a very high profile at the show and in accompanying publications. Silver Sponsorship The Silver sponsorship package provides an economical way for sponsors to become involved in all aspects of the show. Master of Ceremonies
Gala Dinner / Wine
Sponsor our professional MC for the event. He will wear your branded jacket or shirt and will credit you (usually with a degree of well-meant humour) throughout the event.
Provide the wines or sponsor the entire event. Attendance is expected to be in the vicinity of 300 breeders and their guests. The opportunity exists for a suitable sponsor to provide tastings and sales.
Silent Auction
Friday event
During the show there will be an auction of donated stud services. The static display for this will be in a prominent position and could include a display of the sponsor’s product or service.
There is an informal meal held on the Friday night of the event. As with the gala dinner, there are opportunities for meal and wine sponsorship

Wisteria: Every spring, the iconic secretary’s office at the Royal Adelaide Showground bursts into colour as the wisteria that covers the front of the building comes into bloom. It is this colour that has been adopted as the theme for the 2012 National Show and Sale.
