Come Closer The Art of Leslie Kell Leslie began her artistic journey as a painter and illustrator. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH Shedding Light on our Times by Phyllis Light, Ph.D
P
erhaps you’ve noticed times have been rather intense for a number of months now. Or, maybe you haven’t. There are actually two ways to go through life, and one of them is to go 3rd dimensional, ignoring what you’re feeling deep down. Not really recommended, but some choose it, hoping ignorance is indeed bliss. Maybe if I don’t know what’s going on inside of me, I won’t have to deal with it. Those of you allowing yourselves to be in tune and aware of what you’re thinking and feeling – in the name of personal and spiritual growth – may be feeling quite pummeled by intense energies going on planetary-wide. If not pummeled, perhaps extremely exhausted, having a difficult time keeping up with all that’s going on in your world, both inner and outer. For many clients, I’ve been seeing life be challenging and quite difficult the past eight to nine months. Here are some insights I’ve gleaned as a result, to help you through these times.
I’m calling this period of time a Pluto/Saturn period.
If you know astrology, this name will have meaning. If you don’t know astrology, I’ll explain, so you will get the message regardless. It is just my way of helping you to understand the planetary influences at this time, and to process all that is going on in your life. Pluto brings an energy of intensity, one which often makes us feel overwhelmed or out of control. It signifies deep transformation, whether we like it or not, so it brings up all our fears and resistance to moving forward and making changes within ourselves and our world that are actually for our Highest Good. Because much of this energy is in our subconscious mind and out of our awareness, we may have a deeper level of anxiety or fear about life that we can’t really explain. Pluto is represented by the proverbial Phoenix rising from the ashes in Greek mythology, where the legendary bird is destroyed, dying in a show of flames and combustion, but then rises again from the ashes, with renewed life, youth, and sense of purpose. The idea here is that sometimes you have to crash and burn before you can rise to a new place of power, love, and security within that you were unable to experience or sustain prior to the lessons the crash brought to you. The “crash and burn” part is the most challenging aspect of life. It never feels good, even though it may ultimately be good for you – and you actually could feel like you’re dying! Many are dealing with it these days. Is it bad? No.

As you review and heal parts of you making you feel like you’re dying (or want to die), that sets the stage for feeling even more alive and vibrant as you rise from the ashes, once the crash and burn part is over.
Then we throw Saturn into the mix.
The energy of Saturn is ultimately one of mastery, a good thing. However, the path to mastery is never easy and simple. Saturn carries the energy of hard. (Will I ever get there? It all just seems so hard.) People under a strong Saturn influence often feel pessimistic, even hopeless. When you combine the energies of Pluto and Saturn, you may feel totally overwhelmed and out of control, because everything seems so ridiculously hard. Sound familiar to anyone? Consciously create more time to nurture yourself with activities that are fun and bring you joy. Make a list of at least five things you enjoy doing, and include as many of them as you can in your daily or weekly activities. We’re all changing now, at a deep level of our being. Trust the process of life, do your best to be present and aware, and do the inner work necessary. You’ll fly free when the time is right. Do your best to enjoy this period, as challenging as that may sound, and know that when you are ready, this, too, shall pass. Still creating.
I have about nineteen books I started writing. I might even finish a few of them. Also created new online courses, many of which are at Vitale Life Mastery. Many are free. There are some big ones, too, like Awakening Course 2.0. And of course I helped Andres with his book, and it’s now available at Amazon, called Homeless to Billionaire. And look for a powerful new book and audio program by me in 2020, called The Art and Science of Results. I love being productive and prolific, but admit this year has been too chaotic to do as much as I’d like. (More about that in a minute.)
Still filming.
Been filmed for several more movies. Even filmed several episodes for my own new television show. A film crew flew in from Italy to film me for their movie on forgiveness. I was flown to California to film a new course on Awakened Millionaire thinking. I’m impressed with how many movies I’ve been in since the hit movie The Secret came out in 2006, mostly because I think of myself as solely an author, not a talking head. Of course, I even got to be an actor (!) in a short film that won some awards. I’m waiting to be called to act in a movie with Bruce Willis. by Dr. Joe Vitale

lot of people haven’t asked about Joe Vitale recently (ha!) so I figured I would post a few highlights just in case someone gets curious about what I’ve been up to. Maybe even you. But first… about Joe Vitale’s recent activities.
Still traveling.
A few months ago I spoke to a crowd of thousands in Moscow, Russia. Another in Kiev, Ukraine. Also spent thirty days in Italy, resting, working, speaking at events, book signings, being interviewed, and more. Also went back to Thailand, to speak at another event for my once homeless now billionaire friend Andres Pira. Went to London, where an interview I did for LondonReal became a smash hit and brought me tens of thousands of new followers. I’m going back to Dubai in a few months. And I’ll be going back to Italy, Kiev, and London in 2020. And I’m headlining a cruise next April.

Still singing. I’m still writing new songs, playing guitar, and keeping the musical flow at least alive, if not in full bloom. I’ve also been on stage as a solo singer-songwriter, and performed live with my Band of Legends. I have six singer-songwriter albums out, and about seven more albums of instrumental music with Guitar Monk Mathew Dixon. My private lesson with rock icon Melissa Etheridge continues to inspire me. And most recently I’m working with a beautiful singer to create original songs of love, hope and joy.
Still grieving.
Lost my father last April. At ninety-three, we knew it would happen eventually. But the real thing is still a shock. I was able to make him an author for his ninetieth birthday, and again at ninety-one, and again at ninety-two, so I feel complete with him in regards to giving him something he accepted and loved. But I miss him. That was followed by more tragic news, most which I can’t share without hurting family members. Believe me, I’ve known grief.
Still growing.
The past year has been the most turbulent of my life in decades. Not just grief, but anguish. I walked the streets many evenings feeling despair. Yet during the day I’d smile and post happy Facebook and Instagram photos and videos. It’s been intense. I imagine I’ve been the caterpillar struggling to break free. I’m ready to fly as a beautiful butterfly. It’s also a reminder that there is always inner work to do. We all need to keep peeling the onion and getting clear. Even you. Even me.
Still learning.
I’m always following my passion and curiosity, most recently into the world of Stoicism. The philosophy of Marcus Aurelius and the old Stoic gang has kept me alive. Literally. I think it needs updated with current science, and blended with Law of Attraction principles, but it’s priceless for getting me through my day. Thank you, Marc.

In my desire to be whole and healed, I still reach for anything, no matter how wild, to get me through. I’ve found new healers and explored distance healing, past life karma, clearing forces of darkness, karmic bindings and more. I have found some gems, like Kalyn Cal Bennett, who sends you text messages as she clears your karma, and Dr. David Holt, who works with the hidden unconscious to release stubborn blocks. I still rely on original Miracles Coach Mandy Evans – who has known me since 1985 (!) – to help process the big issues of my life. I’ve also called on Jesus and the Christian tradition – anything to save me and my loved ones from darkness.

Despite a turbulent year of uncertainty and change – and at age sixty-five – I am soaking up the joy of a divine connection with someone who wants love, lust, and laughter as much as me. As circumstances unfold, I’ll share the specifics of this news with you. For now, let it be known that love is alive and love is good. That’s the Joe Vitale Update. Aren’t you glad you asked? THE WIZARD OF OZONE by Michael Abedin
H
igh above the Earth, lightning cracks. There’s no one around to hear the thunder as molecules split. As they reform, no one is there to witness something new and powerful being created, a superhero with the power to fight invaders capable of wreaking havoc on life as we know it. The new creation soars five to ten miles above the planet, surrounding it in a protective shield that absorbs cosmic rays capable of burning plants and animals to a crisp, and this superhero’s name is… Ozone!
Menage a trois.
Ozone is what happens when lightning, sunshine, or an electrical current splits up a garden-variety oxygen molecule with two atoms (O2). The resulting lonely, single oxygen atoms hook up with other O2 molecules to create a threesome, and O + O2 = O3, or ozone. Like other superheroes with a checkered past, ozone is a do-gooder – the ozone layer around Earth absorbs ultraviolet rays that would otherwise be way too strong. Closer to the ground, it does something similar. When sunlight hits hydrocarbons and such in smog, it also creates oxygen threesomes, which is why you hear ozone levels on the news – it’s a smog meter. It also helps clean up some of the gunk in smog, so it’s the good guy again, not the bad guy, regardless of what the weatherman’s “Ozone Alert” implies. In fact, it’s pretty much a good guy all the time, including in your body. It’s an oxidizer, inserting oxygen molecules into any substance it combines with. Since oxidation is rust, it can destroy that substance. Healthy cells in your body have enough antioxidants to keep this from happening, but a pathogen (say, a harmful virus, bacterium, fungus, or parasite) doesn’t. Ozone punches a hole through its cell wall like the Hulk, and disinfects it – kills it. Chlorine does, too, but one molecule of ozone packs the punch of three to ten thousand chlorine molecules, works over three thousand times faster, and doesn’t create the carcinogenic by-products of chlorine.

Stands to reason, then, that ozone would have medical applications, but hanging around in a lightning storm like Ben Franklin to get some would be time-consuming and just a bit risky. Fortunately, a corona discharge (an electrical reaction resembling lightning, not the product of drinking lots of Mexican beer on a beach) can crank out plenty of O3 for medical use. Ozone was in medical use as early as 1885 in this country. By 1930, ninety years after its discovery in Germany, it was being used by one Dr. E.A Fisch, a German dentist in Switzerland, and it’s recently gained a strong foothold with

American dentists. Dr. Matthew Carpenter of Transcend Dental Health is an advocates of ozone therapy, using it several ways: • Ozonated rinse water irrigates and disinfects as work is being done, keeping pathogens from spreading into the environment or cross-contaminating equipment. • Exposing inflamed nerves and diseased tooth structure to ozone can often prevent root canal therapy. • Oils can be a medium for ozone, allowing it to be applied topically as a follow up treatment, introduced into dental hygiene products, and even used to treat nasal and ear infections • Ozone can be injected directly into abscessed tissue to kill infection. • When old fillings or root canals are removed or teeth extracted, chances are a menagerie of pathogens has been growing underneath them. Ozone prevents them from spreading into the bloodstream and becoming systemic, affecting other tissue. • Custom ozone trays can saturate gum tissue and the nooks and crannies of tooth enamel, neutralizing complex structures of microorganisms that can create periodontal disease and decay, and may even contribute to re-mineralizing tooth enamel.

During the Civil War, amputation was a necessity for serious wounds, but by World War I, those wounds were being treated with ozone. Ozone dentistry has the potential to make drilling and filling and slicing and dicing – essentially, forms of dental amputation – obsolete one day. dig in and find these unconscious things that keep us separate from our light. No one can talk us out of our wounding, nor can they remove the perceptions we run, based on them. Only we can. We all have the capacity to heal, within ourselves. We’re the ones who decide if today is the day to let it go. It may not be conscious, but if you’re feeling blocked, it’s there. Our healer’s job is to help us locate it within.
SOUL WORK The Evolution o f consciousness

W
e understand, intuitively, that the soul is the deepest aspect of the being. When we’ve been emotionally wounded, we feel it’s sick. Sometimes this manifests as physical sickness as well. To heal our soul isn’t just a lighthearted jaunt though a well-groomed garden, plucking dead blooms from their stalks – it’s hacking through the densest, darkest, jungle to find our light again. It’s looking into the abyss of who we truly are, claiming the darkness these wounds have generated, and it is reclaiming our divinity. As our souls heal, by transcending and integrating our dualities, they evolve. In the Andean traditions this is called increasing our state of ayni, our highest state being when we are congruent with Source. It doesn’t work to emphasize our light aspects, while burying our darkness through negation – that only fuels more separation and duality. It’s about taking ownership of what we externalize.
Whatever we perceive happening outside is happening inside first.
Perhaps we’re in scarcity, for example. Were we cursed by some angry or jealous family member? Is it because we are unconsciously punishing ourselves for things we have not yet forgiven ourselves for? Perhaps we’re blocking abundance because we are uncomfortable receiving, or we believe we are unworthy or undeserving. We cannot heal when we externalize these problems, putting them at the feet of others, instead of owning them. The job of the energetic healer is to hold space for us to

We lose sight of this in a culture spinning with superstition and conspiracy theories, making everyone a victim.
The perspective of the Andean Mystics is that we generate heavy energy, or hucha, by being in conflict with ourselves. Even when it’s in reference to our exchange with another, it’s our reaction to them that’s generating the hucha, not them. We are in fear of them, or of ourselves. Healers that collude with the victim perspective are keeping their clients in a place of disempowerment. Their job, instead, is to help these dark unconscious conflicts come up to the light so they can be processed, resolved, and integrated. By inviting us to experience infinity, or timelessness, instead, we remember who we are as essence, and can see where we have created our own perceived darkness. Instead of running from practitioner to practitioner, getting energetic barnacles removed, we can settle into experiencing our whole state and see why the barnacles are there in the first place. Unlike the current Western medical paradigm focusing on symptom relief, or physical barnacle removal, soul work is about transcendence, about changing the state of consciousness that binds us to our fears, generating the hucha – the dense energies some practitioners pick up on as dark. Soul work goes to the root cause, to the wounding itself, and resultant limited beliefs. As we integrate, we evolve, and our state of ayni rises. Waving sage and feathers over us, clearing our hucha, or assigning us a spirit animal may be part of the process, but the real work is getting in the trenches of the unconscious. When we can take ownership of how our wounded perceptions create our experiences, we evolve. There is no magic pill to take here – this is the deep work of the soul. chool has started. A new season has begun if you have kids. This time can be a reflection on the past year. What did you want to accomplish? What did you accomplish? Growth and change are about small daily habits that move you in the direction desired.
Last October, Ho’oponopono was introduced to me.
I had never heard of it. How was that possible? Everything does happen with divine timing. As it happened, my husband and I were taking a one-week road trip. Usually I read while my husband drives. This time I looked out the window experiencing the land as it passed. I diligently, silently repeated the four phrases of Ho’oponopono. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. Things were changing. I was changing. I am not a victim in my life. Everything I have, want, experience, and do, I created for myself. The good and the bad. With responsibility for my life came the ability to change things, make a new path. • I wanted to create a new life.
