Tweedies Gully Walk Stretch your legs for one to two hours with this shoreline walk starting at the southern end of Gore Bay. Cut through coastal forest to a lookout over Pegasus Bay. Cheviot Museum Exhibiting local memorabilia and rural life in 1850s New Zealand. Open from Labour Weekend to Queen’s Birthday every Sunday 2-4pm (or by request). Free entry.
St Anne’s Lagoon This serene lake is enveloped by trees and governed by ducks, geese and swans. Grab a bag of chips from M and M Takeaways in Cheviot and eat by the water's edge, a three-minute drive from town.
