MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRINCIPAL & PYP COORDINATOR Dear Parents, Caregivers, and Students,
As we embarked on Semester 2, we have been planning our transitions: K4 students will be moving up to Primary, and Y6 to Secondary in June. Those are big steps for our students.
Selda Mansur
Year 6 Transition to Secondary On 15 December, our Year 6 parents attended a presentation on our upcoming PYPX (PYP Exhibition), which is a celebration of the transition of our Year 6 learners from primary to secondary. Now, it is time for another meeting for Y6 parents to hear about what is waiting for their children in our Secondary. Our Parent Information Session on 20 February will be an opportunity to learn more about the secondary school, subjects offered and a Q & A. It will be followed in the coming weeks, with our Y6 students spending a day following a Year 7 timetable, accompanied by selected Year 7 students.
It is also an opportunity for them to meet Y7 Advisors. In the next issue of Wolf Pack, we will be informing you about our Kindergarten to Primary Transition. PAGE SIX | THE WOLFPACK
IB PROGRAMME EVALUATION On Monday 29 January, a volunteer group of parents attended a meeting with our Academic Leadership Team and received information to enhance their reflection and sharing during the parents meeting with the IB Evaluation Visit Team during our upcoming IB Evaluation Visit on 20-22 March 2024. You can find the key points below.
What is IB programme evaluation? (Adapted from: IB Guide to programme evaluation) IB programme evaluation is built on the premise that IB programmes, when implemented with fidelity, achieve outcomes that ultimately lead to the realization of the IB mission. The aim of IB programme evaluation is to support schools in continuously extending their capacity to implement and develop IB programmes to have a greater impact on student outcomes through the development of teacher and leader practice.
PAGE SEVEN | THE WOLFPACK
IB PROGRAMME EVALUATION The Evaluation Visit Team An IB evaluation team composed of IB educators (2 PYP teachers and 2 DP teachers from other IB schools) will review documents and complete an evaluation visit. IB educators have been trained according to global IB policies and are members of the IB educator network. The aim of the visit is to provide meaningful feedback on programme development, as well as to note areas where programme requirements are not in place. The process does not appraise or assess individual teachers or school leaders.
Parents and community members: offer a critical perspective on the outward-facing aspects of the school’s implementation of the programme, including communication and resource development. Parents have a unique role in the self-study process as they are affiliated with the programme(s) but not employed by the school and have been included in the reflective conversations used to inform the completion of the selfassessment meet with the IB evaluation team during the visit.

IB PROGRAMME EVALUATION
As part of the visit, the visit team will meet with a group of PYP and DP parents on Friday 22 March 2024, 8.00-8.40am.
Please inform Ms Mia Sari, Head of Admissions, if you would like to join the group of parents who will participate in the meeting.
Kind regards, Selda Mansur Vice-Principal and PYP Coordinator PAGE NINE | THE WOLFPACK
MESSAGE FROM IB DIPLOMA COORDINATOR Dear Caregivers and Students, I trust this message finds you well and that you enjoyed a rejuvenating break and a wonderful New Year. The past few weeks back at school have been remarkably busy, especially for our senior students. I am pleased to share that we have welcomed three new faces into our Year 12 cohort: Ayah, Ethan, and Mana. It is truly exciting to have them as part of our school community, and they have all made a positive start to the year, bringing our Year 12 cohort to a total of 27 students.
Year 12 Update: Our Year 12 students have recently received their first report from Semester 1, preceding the break. Should you have any concerns or questions regarding the results, please don't hesitate to reach out to your respective teachers or myself. Ms. Arti has been diligently working with our DP students on initiating the Extended Essay process, and they are currently exploring potential topics and securing supervisors. Some students have already made noteworthy progress, which is great to hear.
Kieran Pascoe
Additionally, we've witnessed inspiring CAS projects taking place across the school community, ranging from collaborations with animal welfare organizations and local schools to engagement in social welfare causes and contributing to coaching in our sports teams. These projects truly embody the IB Learner Profile attributes, fostering the development of principled, caring, and balanced individuals. Kudos to Year 12 for the excellent work! PAGE TEN | THE WOLFPACK
Year 13 Update: For our Year 13 students, the most challenging term of their schooling journey is upon them, but the finish line is in sight! They are in the process of finalizing their Extended Essays, Internal Assessments, TOK essays, and CAS portfolios. The lead up to final examinations not only poses a challenge for the students but also for their parents and teachers. We sincerely appreciate your unwavering support. It is crucial that students maintain consistent effort over these final months to ensure they produce the best possible assessments and effectively manage their workload. Many DP teachers have been providing additional support after regular class times, and we are truly grateful for their dedication. In other news, Mr. Christopher has been meeting regularly with students to finalize their UCAS and other university applications. Please feel free to reach out to him for further information.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's DP progress, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are committed to providing the best support possible.
Kind regards, Kieran Pascoe IBDP Coordinator ACG School Jakarta PAGE ELEVEN | THE WOLFPACK
