Preschool 3 months – 5 years

A positive foundation for learning At ACG Tauranga Preschool, we introduce children to a love of play and learning, by creating opportunities to explore, experiment, solve problems and express themselves as individuals. With five early childhood centres in New Zealand, ACG Education is a specialist in educational programmes for young children. Our early childhood environments are purpose-built to enhance children’s learning and growth, to stimulate their curiosity, and to start the journey of a lifelong love of learning. Positioned alongside our Primary School and College, ACG Tauranga Preschool offers the same care, support, and safe and nurturing environment found within our world-class school. We provide an exceptional learning space for our preschoolers, with high-quality, fully trained staff who care for and guide our young children. Our teachers know a welcoming, structured foundation is important to help children develop and grow into confident individuals. Along with a positive start to learning, our teachers place an emphasis on oral language development and nurturing social relationships.

Stages of preschool Infants – 3 months to 2 years With a purpose-built, creative and stimulating play and learning area, our infant preschool caters for children from three months. Your child will be introduced to new and exciting activities that establish the foundations of learning while keeping them safe and secure. Our staff will work closely with you to set goals for your child and to create and contribute to a portfolio that charts their achievements and milestones.

2–5 years Your child is encouraged to play, think, experiment and develop self-expression and curiosity. Language skills are developed alongside social skills. Our teachers are highly dedicated and we maintain an excellent staff-to-student ratio that exceeds Ministry of Education requirements. Through family play, creative play, or exploring independently, your child will learn to interact with others – and to be self-reliant. It’s at this level that we introduce group mat time, smaller group play, and group mealtimes. When the time comes, it’s important to know that your child is ready for ‘big school’. During their final year at the preschool, teachers prepare children with a range of learning activities while still offering every opportunity for self-expression and personal development. ACG Tauranga prepares older children for more formal schooling, while still offering opportunities for self-expression and personal development.

Fees Enrolment acceptance fee An $80 enrolment acceptance fee is payable to reserve a place at ACG Tauranga Preschool. This fee is nonrefundable and must be paid within the time specified in the letter of offer and before a child commences classes. It is additional to tuition fees. The enrolment acceptance fee will be deducted from a Primary enrolment acceptance fee if the child transitions. The enrolment acceptance fee cannot be transferred from one ACG School to another.
