ACTION CARE 關愛動員成立於 2008 年，是一間香港註冊的慈善機構。我們不分宗教、種族、國籍，並 致力連結不同伙伴，藉着資源轉移、外展探訪及家庭支援等，服務社區有需要的人。 關愛動員現時的服務項目集中在港島東區，主要對象為無家者、拾荒者、新移民、獨居 長者、單親及低收入家庭。因着義工們盡心盡力的參與，我們得以在 2013 年服務超過 44000 人次。
Action Care is a registered charitable organization of Hong Kong being established in 2008. We provide services to the needy regardless of their religion, race and nationality. This can be achieved through linkage with different partners to provide services such as transfer of resources, outreach and various supports. Our current services are now concentrated in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island. The main serving groups are the homeless, scavengers, new immigrants, lonely elderly people, single parents and low-income families. Because of the dedicated participation of volunteers, we are able to serve more than 44000 people in 2013.

Action Care believes the key to caring service is equality, sincerity and respect. Through the following continuous encounters during regular weekly outreach and helping services, we can establish relationship and trust with the people so as to provide help to the individual and family in need in different areas.

The feeling of “home” can bring satisfaction to the human soul. “Grace House” is a “home” that has been constructed by volunteers and neighbours for more than five years. We hope every visiting neighbour can feel being treated like a family. When they are faced with difficulties, we would accompany and encourage them along the way.

關愛動員除了是聖雅各眾善坊的伙伴之外，我們自家的食物銀行關愛 糧倉也是為那些難以應付日常開支的人或家庭而設，以紓緩他們在經 濟上的壓力，使他們在生活的困境裡找到一線曙光。
Apart from working as a partner of St. James’ Settlement People’s Food Bank, Action Care set up its own foodbank. It aims at the low-income person or family who finds it difficult to cope with their daily expenses. The food supply relieves their financial pressure and shows a ray of hope in the life of a predicament.

派發有機菜服務 DISTRIBUTION OF ORGANIC VEGETABLES
能與人分享成果可帶來滿足！一位有心的農夫 (輝哥) 每週兩次把自家 農場出產的有機蔬菜捐贈給關愛動員免費派發給街坊。這些有機蔬菜 的提供，除了可減輕有需要家庭的生活開支，在派發過程中，還造就 了我們關心街坊的機會，一份互信和好鄰舍的關係便從中萌芽。
There is always satisfaction to share good things with others. A tenderhearted farmer (Fai Gor) donates his high-quality organic vegetables to Action Care twice a week for distributing to the neighborhood. The supply of organic vegetables not only reduces the family expenses, it also provides us with an opportunity to greet our neighbors. As a result, a sense of mutual trust and good neighborhood relationship begins to sprout.

每星期兩次的祝福飯聚會，有拾荒的，亦有獨居的長者來取新鮮熱飯，參加人數由最初的 十幾位擴展到現在三百多位。當中，為豐富長者生活而設的喜樂時段亦漸見多元，由話 劇、歌舞表演、健康及護理常識到生命建立課程等應有盡有，真可謂盡情發揮了「關愛全 人、動員社群」的精神！
Most of the people who come to lunch gathering are elderly. Some are scavengers and some are elderly living alone. The number of volunteers also increases from a few people to a few hundreds. The service expands from basic health care to life rebuilding. This project truly takes care of the whole person and mobilizes the spirit of the community.

我們定期會為來取祝福飯的長者舉行生日會，在生日會上常有街坊向我們表示，這是他們 人生中的第一次生日會。事實上，我們能為長者慶祝生日，能為他們達成願望，我們也很 榮幸哩！
We organize birthday party for the elderly from time to time. To our surprise, some elderly people have had their birthday party for the very first time. It is indeed our honor to celebrate with them and help achieve their wishes.

義工們帶著愛心食肆專誠預備的新鮮飯盒走到北角的大街小巷，為的是把一點點的支持帶 給這群生命的勇士。他們都是膚色黝黑、駝著背的老人家，在烈日下、風雨中、日以繼夜 地撿拾紙皮去售賣，為生活掙取一點點零錢。
From main streets to alleys, our outreach teams deliver freshly prepared lunch box donated by benevolent restaurants to reach every single scavenger in North Point. Most of the scavengers are humpbacked elderly people with dark rough skin. Whether it is hot and sunny or cold and rainy, they collect carton boxes from the streets throughout days and nights to sell for a little bit of pocket money.

天橋的作用是要把兩個地方連接起來，而「春秧街天橋」就把橋上、 橋下的無家者和義工的關係連繋起來。在橋上大家笑著、談著，分享 著一些生命的意義。
The purpose of a “Bridge” is to link two places together. Similarly, the “Flyover” at Chun Yeung Street of North Point gives a chance for our volunteers to meet with the homeless in that area. We laugh and chit-chat together and share with them the meaning of life.

實踐愛的一小步。一班樂於關心社區的青少年朋友，定期組織探訪隊到區內探訪獨居的長 者。他們十分珍惜和享受跟長者分享的機會。義工們指出，能踏出社會關懷服務的一步， 去放眼關心和了解身邊有需要的人，是難能可貴的生活體驗。
Practising the love. Our outreach team, which is formed by a group of caring adolescences, pays regular visit to the elderly living alone. We cherish the time spent with the elderly. Caring our society and understanding the needs of our community are invaluable life experiences, pointed out by one of our volunteers.

老友所享之長者旅行 感謝張慶華慈善基金對一班獨居、低收入或行動不便的長者施出愛和關懷，令老有所享 計劃之長者大旅行於十一月十九日得以順利舉行。為使行動不便或很少出門的長者能安 心到郊外暢遊，我們特別預備了幾部輪椅，又動員近 30 位義工協助，務求讓老友記暢快 地享受一天，離開前大家濟濟一堂影大合照，場面熱鬧，笑容更掛在每人的臉上。
Travelling a long distance to enjoy natural scenery is undoubtedly difficult for the elderly people who are from low-income families or live alone, let alone those confined to wheelchair. On 19th November, A day trip was organized for them to enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty, gather with friends and make acquaintances with one anther. In order to take better care of them, equipment like wheelchairs were provided in our utmost effort to make sure that the elderly people are no longer bothered by the clumsiness when they stir out from home. The contentment and excitement were well illustrated on their faces with genuine smiles of great satisfaction.

一家人齊齊整整，扶老攜幼上影樓拍家庭照，是不少人童年的指定動作。我們渴望為街坊 留住這情真的一刻，傳承愛家的傳統，特意舉辦這次攝影活動。冀望這份家庭的愛和喜樂 永遠存留他們的心中，成為鼓勵和祝福！
To the majority of us, taking a photo of family portrait in a studio is a common practice. This is the reason why we organize a photo day for the tenants in our district to capture the moment of family togetherness, passing on to them the precious moments of joy and warmth.

CHILDREN-PARENT SUMMER CAMP
今年暑期親子營主題為「共建和諧家庭」，共有 16 個家庭參加。在營會中，父母與子女 藉著參與集體遊戲及親子歷奇等活動，學習與家人互相扶持，互相幫助；更重要的是他們 也體會到家庭與家庭之間，也要除去厚厚的圍牆，在有需要時彼此伸出援手關愛別人， 把冷漠變成愛！
Under our theme ‘Building harmonious family’, sixteen families participated in the childrenparent summer camp where a variety of mass games and children-parent adventure were offered. Through this activity, they consolidated mutual family support. More importantly, the spirit of mutual assistance was not confined only to the family members but extended to the whole community, turning nonchalance to generosity.

女兒一向膽小很怕面對群眾，在台下，她可以蹦 蹦跳跳，但從來都不會願意站到台上去。但這次 服侍中，她不但願意站於人前，而且表現是積 極、投入，跟以往的她絕對是判若兩人。

記得不久前有友人問我：「是不是不停地做義工服務就是 好呢？」當然不是！我認為用心的服務以致建立一份情才 是最重要，這也是我在關愛動員的服侍中所學會的。
由關愛動員成立至今，我一直以義工身份從未間斷去支 持關愛動員的社區工作，無論探訪、長者派飯、功輔 班，煮餸或恩典屋的前線工作，我深深體會到做前線同 工和義工們之辛勞。但同時我更欣賞他們的愛心、勇氣 和耐力。盼望關愛動員繼續透過更多義工和不同機構， 轉化生命、家庭和社區。

Different from children-parent trip in the past, we prepared various games for children. Parents who have always buried themselves into work could therefore take a rest, socialize with friends and enjoy a moment of relaxation.

Accompanying their children and providing adequate care for them are essential elements for a holistic development. Therefore, we organized some parent's groups as a sharing platform, in which parents share the obstacles in nurturing and receive concrete advices from others, to achieve an amelioration of parental relationship.

我們為南亞裔的小學生及青少年，提供每週一天的功課輔導及關係小組，以解決學業和 社交上的困難，也藉著活動讓他們認識本地文化，助他們融入社群。
We provide tutorial and activity classes once a week for a group of primary and secondary students from South Asia to solve their academic and social problem. Through these activities, better understanding of our culture and more profoundly, social integration could be achieved.

最初接觸這班小朋友時，看見他們對英文充滿恐懼和沒有自信，連基礎的字母 ABC 也 辨別不了。我們的義工導師也不知所措，但經過不斷嘗試改善教學模式，終於看見他們 減少對英文的恐懼，上課時臉上更不時展示笑容，我們心裏充滿欣慰。
In the beginning, when we contacted a group of children who studied in kindergartens, we found that they were afraid of learning English and did not have any self-confidence. They could not even distinguish the different characters of the alphabets. Our volunteered tutors did not know what to do. But after many tries to improve the teaching method, the students gradually lose their fear in learning English and begin to enjoy the lessons. We are also very pleased about their changes.

Music is a common language for human. With interactive activities and experiences of music, Children have chances to unleash their potential talents, build confidence and pay respect to one another. Greater participation and active expression of emotions have also been highlighted in the sharing of the mentors and volunteers.

INTEREST GROUP 除了為基層學童提供學習支援外，也增設「興趣小組」，藉着不同的活動和遊戲，提升 他們的自信心，改善他們的學習態度和增加學習動機。
Apart from providing academic support, “interest groups” are also introduced for underprivileged children. A variety of activities and games make a difference to their self confidence, attitude towards learning as well as learning motivation.

With our purpose to fulfill every wish made by children, Birthday Parties are held from time to time to help achieve the wishes of children. 真摯的友誼是透過人與人之間互動建立的。一班大哥哥大姐姐趁著暑假期間，為就讀小學 階段的同學們提供功課輔導。除此之外，大哥哥大姐姐更在課餘時間與他們打球、下棋、 製作小食及做手工，從活動中關懷他們，與他們傾談，這樣一份深厚的情誼就建立起來。 我們亦深信這份情誼會一直延續下去，願他們在新的學年裏更進一步！
A mutually trusting relationship can be formed through constant interactions. With a view to develop sincere friendship with children, a group of youngster organized series of activities for children in summer along with in-depth conversations and assistance on homework. It is believed that connections are built, and more significantly, it will grow root deep down in their hearts.

Through participating in charity bazaar, people from different backgrounds develop closer ties with one and other and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon before the arrival of Chinese New Year.

關愛大使訓練計劃 CARING AMBASSADOR TRAINING PROGRAMME
在暑假期間，鼓勵青少年善用時間接觸社區，讓青少年更認識自己居住的地方。活動讓青 少年自行訂定目標，導師會引導他們洞察社區的需要，讓青少年跳出自己的框框嘗試體驗 基層的生活，學習如何與街坊進行有效的溝通，並身體力行以行動來關心有需要的人。
Youngsters who are willing to learn more about the district they familiarized with participated in the training programme to have a taste of grass-root livelihood. The programme, which enables them to think out of the box, ultimately conduces to an effective communication in reaching the needs of the community.

「慳得一蚊得一蚊」基層街坊甚少願花錢打理儀容，修剪頭髮。兩位資深髮型師已連續兩 年定期為街坊免費理髮，街坊看見自己耳目一新的新髮型，無論男女老幼臉上都一致展現 滿意的笑容。
Every single penny means a lot to the underprivileged who prefer spending money on daily necessities to cutting hair. With the help of two experienced hairstylists, charitable haircut is an occasion being held for two successive years. Satisfactory smiles appeared on faces once people have had a new haircut without being charged.

BAPTIST PUI LI SCHOOL CHARITABLE CAMPAIGN
感謝浸信會培理學校以行動來擁抱社區，動員師生收集了近 400 份禮物，轉送予區內的基 層兒童，讓他們在聖誕佳節裏得著愛的祝福！
With the genuine help from Baptist Pui Li School, 400 presents were collected and donated to underprivileged children in the district to share the blissful delight in Christmas.
千人同享「FUN宴」
CHRISTMAS BIG BOWL FEAST 「2013聖誕盆菜宴－FUN宴」是希望帶出聖誕開心熱鬧的氣氛。在嚴寒的聖誕夜，有超過 300 位來自不同團體的義工，帶着愛心，帶着歡笑接待逾千位街坊食盆菜，台上充滿活 力的年青人載歌載舞，帶動了現場千多人隨着節奏拍手唱和，台上台下全情投入，樂在 其中，與大會「有你有我有 FUN ，與你與他同歡欣！」的主題相呼應。席間，義工與街 坊不分你我一同坐席，圍爐品嚐熱騰騰的盆菜，這份真摰如家人的接納，相信再冰冷的 心都會被融化！有首次參與盆菜宴的義工表示，看到各人在不同的崗位上服侍，是一幅 很美、很溫暖的圖畫。另外，亦有兒童工作者稱，看到小朋友參與其中，無論是派禮物， 接待長者、節目表演都很投入、用心，相信他們從經歷中體會到「施比受更有福」的滿足 和喜樂，將是終身受用的。
“Christmas Big Bowl Feast” never fails to be a delightful event for participants to enjoy a day of family togetherness amidst a festive ambience. Over 300 volunteers have collaborated in the event where thousands of neighbors gathered in Aldrich Bay to enjoy the energetic performance of youngster. You could see, both performers and participants, singing from the very bottom of their hearts, embodying the essence of our theme ‘Having Fun Together’ and a famous traditional Chinese proverb - “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” It has become a longing event among the neighbourhood to gather in Christmas to enjoy the festive banquet Poon Choi and whole-hearted performance of the volunteers in a joyous atmosphere.

Although Action Care has been established for just five years, we witness the benefited neighborhood restore hope in their life. They even become our volunteers to participate in different services. They are unable to provide a good living and educational standard to their next generation in this materialistic society. There is love in the world. We can bring joy and hope to the afflicted and the needy because of your support and participation. These include distribution of food supplies, outreach, children development and festival celebrations. We would like to give thanks to every one of our supporters and participants.
