DIGITAL SIGNAGE POWERS UP SANITIZERS TO COMBAT CORONAVIRUS

NoviSign Ltd., a digital signage software company, has unveiled its wall mounted hand sanitizing digital signage kiosk. This device features an internal auto-dispenser that can provide gel, foam or liquid sanitizer as well as a metal closing with an integrated commercial grade 21.5-inch display that runs on NoviSign's cloud-based digital signage software. These displays offer advertisements, messages, videos, new feeds, social media feeds, health information and other content to customers as they wash their hands. It also comes in touchscreen and nontouchscreen variants. The hand sanitizer kiosks offer organizations a new way to encourage clean hands while being able to share messages and media via the kiosks built-in screens. 5-mai-20

MAKEUP APP ALLOWS USERS TO TRY ON RUNWAY TRENDS

The NY beauty tech company behind the world’s leading virtual beauty try-on app, YouCam Makeup, and photo editing app, YouCam Perfect, has announced a partnership with the leading on-demand beauty service provider, PRIV. Via the YouCam App, users can have an interactive Fashion Week beauty experience that highlights PRIV’S Runway Trends Collection. As part of the partnership, consumers will be able to virtually try on Fashion Week makeup trends before PRIV provides the looks in real life — including glittering shadows, neon liner, and blue accents. Users will also be able to experiment with looks from the collection on their own and add exclusive Fashion Week stickers, frames and effects in the YouCam Perfect photo editing toolkit. 5-mai-20

SAMSUNG INTRODUCES ECO-PACKAGING THAT BECOMES FURNITURE

Samsung introduces a new eco-packaging across its lifestyle TV product portfolio, in efforts to reduce the environmental footprint.

Samsung’s new eco-packaging is made from eco-friendly corrugate cardboard allowing customers easier recycling. The true innovation, however, comes from a dot matrix design that allows for upcycling of the cardboard boxes for creative reuse. A manual (available with a QR code) is included with the packaging to guide customers on how to build different small household items out of the cardboard boxes. Therefore, owners of The Serif – Samsung’s highend lifestyle TV – can build cat houses, magazine racks, a small end table or even shelves to tore household items and stack other electronic devices under their TVs. 5-mai-20

NEW YORK BREWERY GAMIFIES ITS IPA WITH QR CODES

The IPA, named the “Big in Japan IPA,” featured SingleCut packaging that also functioned as a “Name That Tune” game, based on four classic rock songs which were popular in Japan over the past 50 years. The labels featured QR codes, carefully constructed by visual clues from the lyrics and titles of the four songs. Each QR code individually told the story of each song, and when the code was scanned, the consumer was directed to Spotify, where they could listen to the original. The integrated campaign was designed by the Toronto-based agency, Zulu Alpha Kilo. As the IPA was yet to become a popular choice of beer in Japan, the campaign in the east focused on promoting the industry’s growing craft beer scene, in a wider attempt to bring the two cultures together. 5-mai-20

3D-VR SOFTWARE IMMERSES USERS IN FUTURE PRODUCTS

A new tool can help companies and customers to better visualize their options before production begins.

Companies that need a way to persuade customers to purchase their products now have a new tool – the Aniconfigurator by Animech. This is a 3D-software package designed to immerse users in products that may not even be built yet. The tool has already been used to help develop and sell a large number of products, including greenhouses, customized storage and truck components. The company’s built-in template can also be customized to fit specific products and customer journeys.
