SAMSUNG SUPERSIZED LED DISPLAY DRIVES VISUAL TECHNOLOGY IN LUXURY
The Wall from Samsung is an award-winning visual technology with a modular form factor that allows its size, shape and ratio to be customized to spatial and aesthetic needs.. Whether it’s a spacious lobby in a commercial building, a private theatre or a home art gallery, it fuels creative freedom to design the space.
The technology of the micro LED panels together with its intuitive features allow this adaptive digital canvas to switch roles from showcasing visual entertainment, such as movies, to decorating its surroundings. Moreover, with Samsung’s MagicINFO solution The Wall provides device and content management capabilities for convenient access and operation.

SUSTAINABLE ECOMMERCE PACKAGING
The Better Packaging Co. founded in 2018 in New Zealand, offers ecommerce-ready mailers and transparent poly bags that are partly made from plants that are reusable and can be composted to grow more plants. The compost range of The Better Packaging Co. is made of 100% biodegradable and compostable materials, corn starch, PLA (a biobased, biodegradable material made from renewable plant material).
While the materials used are 100% biodegradable and compostable, they are not however 100% renewable, as the PBAT component of the packs is made from petroleum-based materials however they continue testing resins made from an even greater amount of plant-based material.

STARTUP’S PLASTICREDUCING REFILL SYSTEM GOES MOBILE IN CHILE
Algramo launched a mobile refill unit in Chile, that is focused on reducing plastic consumption by using refillable containers for products like dish soap and washing detergent. The mobile unit consists of a vending machine attached to an electric tricycle, which moves to different parts of the city. The reusable containers are equipped with an RFID code (radio frequency identification) that provides discounts on future purchases, which helps encourage citizens to participate.
Since Algramo was first launched, it has achieved an 80 per cent reuse rate of its packaging, which was around just 10 per cent in the early days of operation.

ERA ZERO WASTE TO LAUNCH MILKMAN-STYLE SERVICE FOR PERSONAL CARE
Era Zero Waste launched in DACH and Scandinavia regions an ecommerce system inspired by the traditional milkman model. The service allows shoppers to have their personal care products refilled at home, either by a bike refill station or carbon neutral mail. Consumers can choose from six products, including a hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand moisturizer, body wash and dish soap. Having piloted the concept with hand sanitizer in the EU, the company is now crowdfunding on Kickstarter. Co-founder, Livia Zimermann, explained the project inspired Era’s mission of making it easy for everyone to live zero-waste and make an impact.

BURBERRY OPENS FIRST 'SOCIAL RETAIL' STORE IN CHINA
Burberry debuted its first social retail store in Shenzhen, China. The 5,800-square-foot store is designed for customers to interact with its products in person and on social media. Thanks to its partnership with tech firm Tencent, the store allows customers to access content, personalized experiences and share them online. Burberry created content for shoppers to unlock via WeChat, including store tours, product information, in-store appointment bookings, events and table reservations at the in-store Thomas' Cafe.
As part of the WeChat social currency, customers will receive an animal character that changes as they interact with the brand in store and via social media and discover new characters, cafe menu items and other content and along the way.
