MUNICIPAL An Elevated Brand for Today’s Lifestyle | BY DAMON M. BANKS

L

ife is often one large juggling act with our jobs, families, friends and other responsibilities. For many, this juggling act has become more intense since the pandemic, but we adjust and make it work. HBO Max’s six-episode documentary series gives us an inside look at how Mark Wahlberg juggles his own demands on a daily basis. Wahl Street gives us a glimpse at the delicate balance Wahlberg maintains with his film schedule paired with his growing number of businesses. MUNICIPAL is at the center of this series as he and his partners manage the company while also navigating a pandemic that provides an entirely new dynamic to businesses today. The number of fans behind MUNICIPAL grows daily so this dream team partnership is obviously working. The partnership consists of Mark Wahlberg who manages his film career, a production company and several other businesses; Stephen Levinson who has been a longtime friend of Wahlberg and partner on numerous ventures for more than 20 years; and Harry Arnett who came into this partnership with more than 10 years in the golf industry, including his previous position as EVP at Callaway Golf. Several things are very obvious when talking to these three very large personalities: their dedication to this brand is inspiring; and their passion for creating smart clothes that everyone needs is driving them to continue thinking outside the box and pushing the envelope of fashion. “We started MUNICIPAL because we want everyone to buy into the fact that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to with hard work. And we fully believe and stand by that,” said Mark Wahlberg. MUNICIPAL is based around Sport Utility Gear, which is a line of apparel that is super comfortable, functional and versatile. It is designed so you can get through your day – literally you can do anything in it.

The brand is very personal to each of the partners, which is seen by them wearing MUNICIPAL as they juggle their own daily responsibilities while finding a balance o f working hard and playing h ard. As is the name, MUNICIPAL. This is a community… a place w here so many grew up, whether it was a basketball court, golf course or pool. From the moment Wahlberg met Arnett, these two have bonded over so many of the values they both live and breathe daily: creativity, positivity, hustle, self-belief and character. Everyone in this partnership believes in working hard while constantly striving to improve and reach their ultimate potential. Not only will we see the brand continue to expand their current offerings, but it sounds like they will also be launching a women’s line in 2022.
