Green innovation with impact
WITH steadfast focus, Western Composting Technology have produced premium quality compost for the past 14 years servicing four local government areas.
Predominantly utilising collected kerb-side FOGO waste, WCT has grown with the needs and demands of the community, marking its most significant growth to date with the introduction of food organics, increasing both input and output.

Expanding its capital with two additional In Vessel Tunnels in response to the increase in ‘feedstock’ requirements, WCT has been able to process over 28,000 tonnes of green waste per year with its five onsite composting tunnels.
Sitting comfortably within the parameters of its EPA footprint and layout, WCT’s steady but sure growth has not only seen the business double its onsite, locally employed workforce over time but has also enabled the enterprise to acquire more land for expansion. Significantly, as the preferred tender for a new facility within the City of Greater Bendigo, WCT is set to expand its operations with the expectation that the new site will eventually replicate the size and capacity of the current facility in Shepparton.
With innovation embedded within the science and technology of composting itself, WCT’s passion
