The late night jam is making its return for four nights. Each show will feature a set of music from the house band, followed by an open invitation jazz jam featuring traditional jazz standards and more. You never know who will stop by!

WEDNESDAY, JULY 12

The Local Trio

This trio brings together three of Halifax’s first call instrumentalists. The group has been performing every Wednesday for the past several years at Jazz Night at The Local, where they astound audiences week after week with their unique take on popular songs and jazz standards.

THURSDAY, JULY 13

Chris Mitchell Group

Chris Mitchell is an engaging and innovative saxophonist. Heralded as one of Canada’s finest instrumentalists, Chris has contributed to the music scene in a number of diverse and exciting ways. A versatile player, Chris is a sought after talent across a variety of genres performing with a myriad of artists.

FRIDAY, JULY 14

Tom Easley Trio

Bassist, composer, and educator Tom Easley has earned a reputation as one of Canada’s finest jazz bassists. Over the past 35 years, Tom has toured throughout Europe, Asia, and South America as part of numerous diverse musical projects with several internationally recognized artists.

SATURDAY, JULY 15

Sam Wilson Trio

Guitarist Sam Wilson oscillates between the worlds of improvisation and composition. From solo to quintet, she presents a performance that reflects her love of jazz, improvised and instrumental music stemming from various traditions.
