I t is hard to believe that we came out of nothing. The world, all the living surrounding us is so perfect, so beautiful and complex that it seems more than appropriate to think about somebody up there drawing us with magic painting according to a superior plan. Maybe this feeling of continuous wondering was the reason that drove us to look up to the skies trying to find out the answer of our existence. Last week the sky spoke to us in a very different way: before, all we could take as source of outer space information was light, its different colors and the warmth sent to earth through radiation waves. Few days ago it was discovered that we can also hear the universe, just as Albert Einstein predicted a hundred years ago.

A deep dark vast vault splattered with stars covering us since the early days. A reality so far and yet so attractive, a field where distant events took place thousands of years ago, events that now speak to us traveling along space in the form of tiny waves leaving traces for us. The gravitational waves: some of kind whispers on the surface of space and time shout from the collision of two giant black holes way back in time, a vibration that could be the answer to the quest of knowledge regarding the beginning of the universe. The magic here lies in the fact that dark does not mean emptiness but a different pattern of relations between space, matter and time.

SPACE, MATTER AND TIME Since the fundamental of light goes straight to our eyes, the principle of dark touches us with sound. Two ways to code our reality or at least, the sense we have of it. Now that we know that light and dark are entangled in the vast universe, scientists ďŹ nally would be able to decode existence as a whole: The theory of everything. Maybe we are not yet close to a full comprehension of universe surrounding us but, the gravitational waves recently discovered are telling us that in the future, we would not need to see in order to believe, instead we better prepare ourselves to hear and feel in order to connect to reality.
