Grade Point Ratio (GPR)
Admission Decisions
A 2.5 GPR on a minimum of 24 hours of graded transferable coursework is required by the application deadline.
Decisions are made by each college and major.
The necessary GPR required to be competitive varies by college/major.
Specifying a Major Applicants must apply to a specific department/major inside an academic college. Second-choice majors are not considered by every college/major. Check the Transfer Course Sheets to see who does.
Admission standards are based on the competitiveness of the applicant pool. Preference is given to applicants with the highest GPR and most appropriate courses for the specified college/major. Applicants may be asked to submit spring grades with their decision letter. Some colleges/majors do not review spring grades; however, applicants may qualify for review by their second-choice major. More information can be found on the Transfer Course Sheets.
Additional Factors in Review Frequent course drops/withdraws Unsatisfactory grades (D or F, depending on intended major) In-progress courses listed on an official spring transcript could factor into admission decisions depending on the college/major (fall admission only).
* With the changes to the 2014-2015 University Core Curriculum, the degree tracks previously used for transfer admission are no longer valid.
3

GPR Computation Grades for all transferrable courses are used to calculate GPR, including: failing grades, repeated courses, Withdraw/Fail, Incomplete, etc. Grades reported as Incomplete are computed as an F. Plus and minus grade designations are not used; C+ is computed as a C, B- as a B, etc.

Verification of receipt is not guaranteed for applications submitted within 1 month of the deadline.
Credit by examination courses taken at another college may transfer if sequential coursework with credit is also indicated.
