1. GENERAL PROFILE Especially on the national level of AIESEC a team needs a broad expertise in all functional areas. That is why the MC team consists of people with different experience and backgrounds. Taking part in a this team means that you are a team player, openminded, well organised and that you have a holistic view not only on things connected with AIESEC, but also connected with current trends and society / cultural issues from all over the world. Taking on a role in the MC is an opportunity for you to show your leadership potential and apply it to specific context. Persistence and commitment are key values that are needed to make this experience successful, both for yourself and for AIESEC France

MCVP SUMMARY OF THE ROLE AND MAIN FUNCTIONS MCVP:        

Shape organisational culture and adhere it to the AIESEC Way Execute national plan and goals towards realisation of AIESEC 2020 ambition and beyond Ensure alignment and realisation of global and national direction and strategies Ensure the strategic work done in different sub teams and levels of National Team structure (i.e. task forces, projects, etc.) and its relevance Ensure accountability and legality of our actions Represent AIESEC in France in the global association and externally

 Foster leadership culture in AIESEC in France  Build leadership pipeline for AIESEC in France to ensure coverage of all leadership positions by high profiles  Ensure MC-LC dialogue and cooperation  Maintain communication with AIESEC International and other AIESEC entities

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS MCVP:        

Functional knowledge in field of choice Knowledge of current management and leadership practices for AIESEC Ability to create short and long –term strategies/ initiatives Experience in long term operational planning on both local and national level Demonstrating actions aligned with the AIESEC Way, the AIESEC Values and our current Strategic Direction Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects Ability to work with different people, actively listen to, and respects others’ feelings

FUNCTIONAL TALENT MANAGEMENT & ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT:  Ensuring the proper implementation of Talent Management processes in all local committees through functional meetings and conferences  Supporting LCs in creating local level Leadership Development opportunities and leadership opportunities  Analysing the current state of membership in AIESEC in France and potential target groupsfor recruitment


 Ensuring continuous growth in membership through supporting recruitment and induction processes  Ensuring quality of membership through support of the talent planning and selection systems  Ensuring long term membership and leadership pipeline  Ensuring proper education and training cycle at local level align with national one  Ensure sustainability through proper transition and knowledge management  Driving AIESEC France’s Organisational Development Model  Management of MC – LC coaching system and LC visit system  Management of Reward & Recognition system for AIESEC in France  Analysis processes in Local Committees based on reposting system e.g. SONA and ensuring feedback  Ensuring the process of planning for Local Committees  Providing the tools and education of planning  Feedback plans of Local Committees  Opening and management of new expansions in AIESEC France  Education and support for expansions

3. WORKING CONDITIONS WORK LOAD OF MEMBER COMMITTEE:        

Official start of the term: 01.12.2016 Official end of the term: 30.07.2017 Transition period: MCVPs starts transition process as soon as he/she is elect. Working hours: 40 hours a week Weekends are free apart from team days, conferences or other planned meetings. Monthly salary: 508,20€ MC elect is expected to move to Paris latest on 15st of December 2016.

PAYMENTS AND COST COVERAGE:  Expenditures connected with mandatory international Congress, statutory conferences, meetings and team days are covered.  Accommodation and transportation within Paris will be paid from the salary.  Travel costs to Paris for international applicants are not covered.


4. REQUIREMENTS OF COMPENDIUM     

To have at least 18 years old at the beginning of the term you are applying for To have been a member of AIESEC at least 12 months at the moment of the elections Not to have any professional activity during the envisioned term To have filled on time the application form To have presented three letters of endorsement, and among them one coming from a member or an alumnus of his/her Local or Member Committee

5. ELECTION AND SELECTION PROCESS  Application deadline is 18.11.2016 at 23:59 (GMT+1) (application has to be in English)  Personality test: results to be submitted with application the 18.11.2016 at 23:59 (GMT+1)  Vote of confidence 19 or 20 November  Content of Election days:  For MCVP (to be confirm):  Opening + strategy speech (PPT presentation required)  Q&A

The times will be defined once we have the final number of candidates.    

Review board with MCP elect from 21.11.2016 till 24.11.2016 MCVP Announcement latest by 25.11.2016 Vice Presidents are selected by MCP after getting vote of confidence. Candidates are allocated to certain positions by the Member Committee President elect according to individual talents and capabilities

(1 page max.)  Endorsement Letters: Collect three (3) endorsement letters with contact details of authors. One of the endorsement letter can be given by externals (companies etc.). One of your endorsement letters must be from your AIESEC entity.  General Questions (min. 1, max. 2 pages): These 4 questions are for every candidate.  Specific Questions (min. 5, max. 7 pages):  MCVP candidates: You have to answer 4 functional questions

7. GENERAL QUESTIONNAIRE (FOR ALL CANDIDATES):  What is the leadership that AIESEC France needs in the moment? Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses in relation to this demand.  What does it mean to you to be a National Leader? (as leader for LCPs/LCVPs and organization and also as MCEB Team Member) a. Define your strategy to handle and engage your commission (LCPs for MCP, LCVPs for MCVPs) b. Define your contribution as MCEB member.  Present the current situation of AIESEC in France, the strengths and weaknesses.  How would you ensure that you align yourself with the current national strategy and the team already on place?
