are we?  Based on University of Moratuwa, Colombo south local committee consists of more than 350 members. The local committee has performed under many criteria’s both nationally and internationally.  Averaging 350+ exchanges per year  Currently ranked 10th in global ranking  Won the award for the best local committee in the Asia-Pacific region


is FEEL LANKA? This is a project under incoming Global Volunteer function(iGV) which provides a platform for AIESEC volunteers all around the world to experience Sri Lankan culture and have a mutual understanding of different cultures. The Feel Lanka project has been initiated by Colombo South local committee to promote and uplift tourism in Sri Lanka. The industry in a rapid development since past few years. We focus on making photo and video documentaries and using innovative marketing strategies to increase our reach. And we also focus on travel blogging and travel social media activity.


Feel Lanka 11.0 Our main concern in this summer phase of Feel Lanka is to promote the uniqueness of Sri Lankan cultural, natural and social value to the world and identify new strategies to uplift Sri Lankan tourism industry in a sustainable manner . We focus especially on “creating a positive, pleasant attitudes and doing away with and negative notion towards Sri Lankan society�.

Feel Lanka project is aligned with 8th Sustainable Development Goal set by United Nations. Specially we focus on following target, 8.9 By 2030, devise and implement policies to promote sustainable tourism that creates jobs and promotes local culture and products

Sri Lanka is a country with vast variety of cultural background . We have an uniqueness of warm hospitality , family values and tradition. We are positioning ourselves for the exchange persons who would like to arrive Sri Lanka over other destinations. Rather than promoting exchange experience we are focusing on promoting local cultural qualities and values in Sri Lankan people.

Basically travel amazing destinations in Sri Lanka ( OC will arrange 6 trips). We specially consider to deliver unique warm Sri Lankan experience through these trips.

Week 01st Week “Week of Orientation “

Action Plan  Arrival of EPs  Intern preparation seminar  Expectation settings of EPs  Start a survey about current situation in tourism in Sri Lanka(This goes for 2 weeks)  In this effort EPs are asked to meet tourists , local people to take ideas  Start planning about final report, video documentary and panel discussion  COLOMBO CITY TOUR  Appointing the team (Started delivering leadership experiences)  We make a working team from EPs  Team consist of a leader, photographer , videographer, graphic designer, concept builders, reporter  Throughout six weeks every EP will handle the leader role


Week 02nd week “Ayubowan”

03rd week “Week for fashion”

04th week “Week of food”

Action Plan  TRIP 01  Challenge 01 – interns are expected to learn some phases in SINHALA language and make a selfie video ( max 15 sec).They are asked to upload it to facebook under “hash tags”. Most creative video will be uploaded to feel lanka FB page.  Update the report  Collect videos of trip 01  TRIP 02  Trip 03  Challenge 02 – interns have to study Sri Lankan current and past fashion (especially costumes). They need wear a traditional Sri Lanka dress and upload it to instagram and facebook. The photo with most number of likes will be selected.  Update the report  Collect videos of trip 02,03  Trip 04  Challenge 03 – interns should taste Sri Lankan food. They need to find-out a simple recipe of a Sri Lankan traditional cuisine and create a video “ How to make that particular food” and upload it to youtube with HASH TAGS  Update the report  Start discussing strategies and marketing methods  Collect videos of trip 02,03

Trip 05 Trip 06 Challenge 04 – EPs are supposed to talk with Sri Lankan people and identify good qualities they have. Towards the end of the week they are asked to upload a FB post around 100 words about “VALUES of Sri Lankan people”. The best impactful post will be gifted Collect videos Concept building for report and panel discussion

* We have mentioned the minimum food cost and it may change upon the place(Restaurants etc.) * In above budget we have mentioned rough expenses, it can vary up to the lifestyle. So please make sure to bring additional amount of money

* Additional trips(Other than project journeys) can be arranged by Eps themselves. It should be bored by the EP (Around 17$ per one trip) * Global village and ICON are compulsory sessions for every EP
