The local committee was recognized nationally and globally on its achievements According to the statistics released by AIESEC International, AIESEC Colombo South is ranked globally as the 10th Local Committee We are proud owners of the LC Excellence Award of the year 2016 which was awarded for the Best Local Committee in the Asia Pacific region.
The Art Project The ART project is organized by AIESEC Colombo South in order to inspire local and foreign designing disciples from Sri Lankan traditional arts, Sri Lankan design theories, culture and essential teachings with the collaboration of industry experts. Purpose of the project is to promote traditional arts to the globe and inspire local and foreign designing students to incorporate such elements in future projects. Number of workshops and sessions will be delivered for designing students throughout the project. Project events will be managed by interns and they will get a chance to explore traditional arts of a thousands of years old civilization.t
Why You…..? Because WE truly believe YOU can CHANGE THE WORLD ! This is a project which is aim of bridging gap between cultures through the modern Arts of fashion designing. The Interns are expected to learn about the various methods and techniques used by early Sri Lankans to design Quality Apparels and enhance your knowledge about Sri Lankan culture, evolution of fashion designing, and to improve your taste on new trends in the industry. Project duration is 6 weeks starting from 2nd of July 2017 to 30th of August 2017 20 interns from 9-12 different countries will be joining the project In here You are going to…….. •Accomplish the whole project and show the passion for sustainable future •Spread the sustainable mindset to more people •Understand the Sri Lankan culture and improve your personality •Gain the confidence of sales, presentation, public speaking, event management and find peace •Buildup international friendships with EPs, OCs and the local people in Sri Lanka •Gain the ability of understanding and cooperating with different people •Take an unforgettable memories in exotic Sri Lanka
