Word from the President In a country where 63% of its population is under the age of 25, it is clear that the better future for Tanzania is in the hands of young Tanzanians. It is for this reason that since 1999 AIESEC in Tanzania has been providing impactful leadership experiences to youths, for it is a fact that with more self-aware, global minded and solution oriented young people who care about empowering others the road to the better Tanzania will be much brighter. It gives me much joy that in 15/16 I have had the honor of leading this great movement for youths with a message of “Face Your Fears, Let Your Story Inspire the World. Rising unemployment rate, widening skills gap between fresh graduates and the talent needs of the corporate world and growing desire of youths to become entrepreneurs, are just some of the difficult questions and fears revolving in the minds of young Tanzanians each day. AIESEC has made it its mission to make a positive impact in our Tanzanian society by giving young people a platform through which they can face these fears and with their success write stories that will inspire families, government and their fellow youths. For this year, over 300 young Tanzanians have had the opportunity to write these stories through team experiences and cross cultural exchange opportunities that AIESEC offers. The amazing stories young people write in their lives through AIESEC each day will never be possible without the great support that we get from our partners, never ending dedication of AIESEC leaders in all our local offices and the solid relationship we have with all our stakeholders. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our national partners, Career Fair partners, exchange partners and conference partners. Moreover, I would like to appreciate the dedication of all our leaders in the local offices, our alumni network and all our stakeholders.

Stories we Created
In September 2015, I arrived in Tanzania. I had no idea what was waiting for me even though I had put effort into researching as much about the country as I could. I found a place that would surprise me every day. I met people of fantastic diversity and with life stories that touched me and taught me lot about hardships and overcoming difficulties, but also about loyalty towards family and friends. I saw the many aw-inspiring beauties of the country, its beaches and its landscapes. But the memory of the warm and welcoming smiles of its people will remain my dearest memory.
Health Project This year, in conjunction with TAI, we introduced the “Jali” Project which aims to sensitize the community and students on sexual and reproductive health as well as other health related issues. The Jali Projects addresses SDG number 3, target 3.7 - by 2030, ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programs. The project was implemented in 3 schools and communities in Dar es Salaam, reached about 500 students and inhabitants, and recorded 8 international volunteers from across 3 different countries.

Community, Environmental and Research Organization (CERO) is youth led non-governmental organization working with women and youths in the community. CERO has been implementing Microfinance project in partnership with AISEC SAUT. The project aims at capacity building to the youth and women in startups. We decided to partner with AIESEC SAUT because of its global nature which provides the platform for young people to learn, share and develop leadership potentials as well as creating positive impact on the society which is a shared vision of CERO. Partnering with AIESEC has reduced our work load and has also exposed beneficiaries to the international environment whereby ideas, knowledge and experience are shared and beneficiaries have a new perspective of doing things. Also cost of advertisement and mobilization is reduced since beneficiaries are more willing to participate due to engagements from “Wazungu”. Beneficiaries arrange themselves voluntary with joy ready to participate in sessions. Personally I have benefited a lot from partnering with AIESEC through discussions and idea sharing as well becoming a better leader every day since I get to work with different people from different countries and cultures. Tungaraza, Kudra Microfinace Project Manager, CERO - Mwanza.

Going for International Congress in India was such a priveledge and one of the highlights of my Local Chapter Presidency term. I not only attended sessions and experienced a new culture, i got engaged with other leaders from other regions that created bonds that are helpful in my LC operations todate. Getting to hear the various GOOD CASE PRACTICES made me have another insight into the AIESEC way. I also took part in planning for A2020 which was to date the most memorable time in my AIESEC xp. Lastly the culture of a brand new country (India as a host) and other Countries which participated helped me understand a lot about Globalization. It was an I am proud to say “the best highlight of my Travel Experiences todate ~Frederick Kibogoya International Congress Delegate

“
Having less than a year in AIESEC I have not really had much of experience outside campus involvement. Among the only two conferences I got to attend as a delegate. The National Achievers Conference has to be the best from the large number of delegates more LCs made it to this one -; amazing scenery and accommodation; interactive and informative plenaries/sessions without forgetting the despicable Gairo experience, all played a part in making it great! Through this conference I not only gained more insight to the organization’s operation but also got the chance for personal growth and connected with more young people sharing a common vision and dedicated to a common goal. I made lifelong connections. ~Queenlatifah Achivers Conference Delegate

Entity Development AIESEC in SAUT The past AIESEC year has been a life experiential journey for AIESEC SAUT from our membership to the level of achievement we were able to attain in short while. We strived to work together unselfishly to accomplish both personal goals and organizational goals. We had sustainable leadership pipeline as we currently have 2 of our members going for an international experience and others taking leadership roles inthe local chapter. The University management also saw how we are able to develop leadership with students and gave us the honor to pilot all social projects relating to students in the University 15.16 for AIESEC SAUT has been an amazing by making a history of signing 5 igip and hosting the National planning conference. AIESEC in University of Dar es Salaam 2015/16 term for AIESEC in UDSM can be simply put as a year of self-empowerment and clarity. We are thankful for AIESEC in Tanzania for their constant contribution and investment they made, we believe this term was a stepping stone for better things in the entity, lastly to all members of AIESEC in University of Dar es salaam who face their fears and wrote their stories we hope this was the beginning a very interesting journey to your career and personal goals.

AIESEC in Mzumbe Gen1516 at Mzumbe saw a return of membership proactiveness that has shaped the presence of the entity in the Mzumbe campus. With more exchanges in both Incoming and Outgoing programs, our members have been able to take a proactive interest into their roles. This has been achieved mostly through engagement of alumni, more TN takers, the School administration and most importantly our esteemed Board Of Advisors. Mzumbe chapter was able to have national and international representation at conferences that played a huge role in strategizing and growing the entity todate. Most notably the LC has had an increase in membership productivity that has resulted into more members taking on Exchange and leadership roles, hence ensuring membership pipeline. AIESEC in IFM Through the course of the year the LC has had great initiatives to build members and non members in the society it operates in. We have had recruitment of diverse members from about four different academic institutions with a common purpose. We have implemented community based activities such as the New Hope family. IFM established a good incoming short internship programs Base that impacted various internationals. AIDS testing and other impactful activities were done thoroughly. The LC had created iquisitive and relishing members with a profesional presentability that carry the LC known identity, Team Lion
