Dear Delegates, We would like to let you know a few things about the events that we are preparing for so that you would have you best time here. In Day 0 (15.10) we have scheduled the YouthSpeak Forum (with partners: ING, P&G and PwC) and the external Global Village. Regarding the Global Village, we are thinking about going on the basic idea of Global Village and insert one special element, so we kindly ask you to bring with you: • the flag of the country which you are representing; • traditional clothes from the country which you are representing; • traditional food (Important: Due to the conference agenda, you will not have time to cook. Also, in order to avoid any legal issues, we will not be able to expose freshly cooked food. Therefore we kindly ask you to bring already prepared and packed traditional food.) • 2-3 postcards (with the 2-3 places you consider to be the best in your country) - this is for the special element that we would like to insert; • any other object you consider representative for your culture (pieces of traditional outfits, traditional accessories etc.); • a big dose of enthusiasm to show us the best of your country.
Also for Day 0, we have planned a Chill Party. We know that you might be tired after all the events during the day, and we want to create an environment for disccusion and relaxation. For the party on Day 1 (16.10) we have scheduled Glow Party. Be prepared with white shirts and a loooot of energy! The party from Day 2 of the conference (17.10) will have a lot of Romanian influences, so prepare to go traditional with us! The 3rd day (18.10) will end with a night of suprises from our sponsor, Grolsch. We are really confident that Grolsch College Party will be one of the most awesome college parties you ever attended! The 4th day of the conference is about glamour. We will start with a Hollywood style Gala Awards (Classy mode on!) during which we will delight ourselves with a fancy dinner. Following this, we will have another moment of interculturality - internal Global Village. You know what this means. Bring a traditional drink from your country, but plase make sure that you won’t have problems at the security pass at the airport. All we can say is to bring your enthusiasm and to be prepared to have a good time!
Here you have the weather report from accuweather for the month of October, downloaded on the 9th of October. As you can see it’s going to be pretty cold, so be sure to bring a couple of sweaters and other warm clothes.
Also, bring a transformer for the pulgs.
1 Euro = 4.41 lei (Romanian currency) 1 USD = 3.89 lei Cab fare: 1,39 lei/km. Shops with decent prices: Auchan, Kaufland, Mega Image
