AIESEC is the largest global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences for over 65 years. Our purpose is to develop young leaders through international internships and volunteering experiences across 124 countries and territories. AIESEC provides unique leadership development experiences for young people to gain the values, competencies and skills to make a positive impact on the world.


ABOUT GLOBAL TALENT GLOBAL TALENT brings in youth leadership, innovation, global perspectives and functional expertise to provide organisations with a competitive edge when it comes to talent and leadership pipeline. The purpose of the Global Talent programme is to bridge talent gaps within organisations with a student or recent graduate for a 2 to 18 month traineeship. The Global Talent programme is both a talent sourcing solution for an organisation and an invaluable kick-start any young persons career.

THE PROGRAMME PROCESS

PROFILE DEFINITION

Identification of business needs for talent by completion of a job description including the specific skills and backgrounds of talent.

GLOBAL PROMOTION & SELECTION

The Job Descriptions are uploaded onto AIESEC’s online internship coordination system and is promoted to students and graduates across 124 countries and territories. AIESEC will screen all applicants and select the 3-5 candidates that meet the organisation’s requirements as set out in the job description. AIESEC will coordinate virtual interviews between you and the candidates. You will then make the final selection following the virtual interview.

VISA LOGISTICS & PRE-ARRIVAL PREPARATION

For trainees who are from outside of the EU, AIESEC will ensure that the trainee’s immigration is streamlined using AIESEC UK’s Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange sponsorship licence. AIESEC will coordinate with you and the trainee on the start date of the traineeship as well as assisting the candidate with their relocation prior to their arrival in the UK.

RECEPTION

Upon the trainees arrival in the UK, AIESEC will collect the trainee from the airport and assist the trainee with: setting up a bank account, applying for a NI number, accommodation and setting up a phone. AIESEC provides ongoing support to the trainees throughout their experiences in the UK.

EVALUATION

AIESEC will continually monitor the trainees progress through evaluation with both you and the trainee. This will take place at the beginning, middle and end of the traineeship. The whole sourcing process from start to reception can reasonably be completed within 6 weeks. This may take longer should the candidate require a visa or if either extended promotion or selection procedures are required.

AIESEC UK is OISC registered and holds a license for Tier 5 Temporary Worker Government Authorised Exchange. This means that AIESEC can facilitate a Tier 5 visa application for a trainee from any country with a 100% success rate to-date. AIESEC UK is also supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
