SHAPING TOMORROW’S LEADERS TODAY

Central Florida Health received the Outstanding Professional Practice Experience Site award. The award, which was presented by the Florida Health Management Association, recognizes health care facilities committed to the future of the health information profession by accepting students for professional practice experiences.

Brandy Ziesemer, program manager at Lake-Sumter State College, nominated Central Florida Health for the award.

“We are so pleased that our students are offered quality professional practice experience right here in our own community,” Ziesemer says. “It is important for health information students to have meaningful exposure to the realworld application of what they are learning in the classroom.”
