Last spring, the Alabama Trucking Association Safety & Maintenance Management Council celebrated dozens of the state’s safest fleets, managers, and employees during its annual Fleet Safety Awards Banquet. The awards program follows the American Trucking Associations’ criteria for fleet safety recognition and is judged by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency experts.
The big winner was Alabama Driver of the Year Nathan Heflin who has logged close to 2-million accident-free miles in 15 years with laser-point attention to detail and unwavering commitment to safety.
