LOGISTICS Instructor Spotlight
Business Logistics Management Program The Center for Business Solutions at Albany Technical College found it to be of vital importance to use instructors who are not only experienced professionals in the field of logistics and supply chain, but also understand the needs of the Marine Corps and how the Marine Corps runs its logistics and supply chain operations. Initially, the Business Logistics Management program started with the interest of the Marine Corps Logistics Command in mind. To that end, Mr. Joe Bernardoni and Ms. Deborah Pugh, two of the best in their field, have been hired.
Joe Bernardoni
is a native of Auburn, New York. During his senior year of high school, he enlisted into the Marine Corps via the Delay Entry Program. Mr. Bernardoni’s military career begin in September of 1983. Upon graduation MCRD, he reported to Camp Geiger, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training and the School of Infantry for training as a 0311 Infantryman. After MOS training, he was selected for Marine Sea Duty and later graduated from Sea School training. He was later assigned to Marine Detachment on the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy. After six months, the Kennedy pulled into dry dock for rebuild and he along with 13 7
others Marines crossed deck to start up a Marine Detachment onboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea. Upon completion of this tour, Corporal Bernardoni was assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. While with 2/4 he completed numerous deployments. In 1990, he reported to Marine Corps Security Forces Training Center in Northwest Chesapeake, Virginia. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Marine Corps Security Forces Company, Charleston, South Carolina. While on Security Force duty, Sgt. Bernardoni was approved for a MOS Lateral move to MOS 2171 Electro- Optical Repairman. Upon graduating as an Honor Gradate from the 2171 MOS school .In 1996, SSgt Bernardoni was selected to attend Recruiting School, after graduating he reported into RS Nashville, Tennessee. Mr.
