Alessandro Gabbianelli

Alessandro Gabbianelli is an architect, graduated from the Iuav University of Venice, holds a PhD in Architectural Design from the University of Camerino, was assistant professor of Landscape Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino until 2020, and is currently associate professor of Landscape Architecture at Roma Tre University, Department of Architecture. His research interests focus on the study of residual, abandoned urban spaces and territories and their redevelopment through landscape design. He also investigates the themes of agri-urbanism in the context of the Italian Adriatic city. He wrote Residual Spaces: Vegetation in Urban Regeneration Processes (GOTOECO Editore, 2017) and has contributed essays on landscape to various international architecture journals.
