We believe that the Kampung is the soul of Yogyakarta. The place where a warm smile greets. The place where a friendly ambience accompanies. A place where colors meets. A place where a great story begins. And a place where you become human again. The development of modern cities nowadays is gradually fading this beautiful simplicity. Every corner suddenly becomes private. People live in their own cubicles with artificial social life in their grasp. No real interaction. No meaningful story. No soul. What a quasi life.
Kampung Sukun wants to bring this Kampung experience back to our hostel. We believe that the travel industry has a unique opportunity to match new people with other people. Kampung Sukun brings travelers togather to have some level of interaction with the people who make that place so special. It’s a place for the community to engage and have meaningful connection. It expands your (real) social network, gives a great story to your journey and make you feel human again.

+ intersection that breeds interaction Our concept is to break the rules of the monotonous repetition of the conventional hotel. We want to randomize the arrangement of cabins to create an unexpected intersection. This intersection became a place where you meet surprising people. It stimulates social interaction. This randomization also allows light and fresh air flows to accompany your stay. The water feature underneath will cools the ambiance keeps you relaxed, intimates your relation.
