Letter from the LTG

Hello there Key Clubber! Wow, I can't believe it's already November! This marks the second to last month of 2019, aka the end of the 2010s decade. It’s been quite an eventful 10 year journey. I’m so glad to have all of y’all in 2020. :) To reflect on October, I am low-key disappointed in the attendance at my October DCM and overall communication with my clubs. I am really striving to reach at least 10 people in my upcoming November DCM. There, I will be able to explain more about the three important service projects, LEDCON, and more! I was able to collect and record more officer contact information and to host a club visit with Texas High School Key Club. I’ve also continued to update my Instagram (@tokey13and32) and website to keep all the clubs in my divisions informed and updated. I have many goals for November that I've entailed on page 14. I highly encourage y'all to also consider some of my November service project ideas that I’ve listed on pages 4 and 5 for the governor’s project, district project, and divisional project. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions! Have a month full of service and gratitude and stay safe! With a passion to serve, Alina Dam Lieutenant Governor of Divisions 13 and 32

MEMBER RECRUITING IDEAS Use pre-made Key Club recruitment posters on the Key Club International Website! https://www.keyclub.org/resources/recruitment-posters/ Advertise your introductory or first general meeting like crazy! Get it on the announcements, post about it on your social medias, and hang up posters around your school! Provide food and drinks (or a social!) at your first meeting. Students are hungry before/after school; incentivization is key! Piggy-backing off of incentivization, if you are struggling to get members to come to meetings, offer food! I guarantee you that students will come! To keep members involved, offer prizes for attending meetings or fulfilling hour goals per month. If your Key Club has money to spare in its account, $5 gift cards are perfect! Let's face the facts. Seniors (and maybe even juniors and sophomores) have senioritis. To keep them motivated, offer Key Club cords or Key Club medals at graduation.

SOCIAL MED sites.google.com/ view/tokey13and32

I recently created a website for T-O Divisions 13 and 32! I have posted my previous DCM Minutes and PowerPoints (August and September 2019), important links, past newsletters and all contact information. I will continue to update this throughout the year, so I recommend checking it about every month. I added some relevant information on the home page, changed the color of the theme to purple, and added my October DCM PowerPoint and Minutes. I plan on uploading my October newsletter there after I complete it!

DIA UPDATE @tokey13 and32

Follow the T-O Key Club Divisions 13 and 32 Instagram at @tokey13and32. If you don't have Instagram, don't fret! You can always search up www.instagram.com/tokey13and32 to access the profile. I have sent out many reminders and informative posts about events, projects, etc., so I really recommend checking it out. In October, I strived to post 3-4 times a week, and I plan on continuing that for November! I've also hit a milestone of 50 followers! Woohoo! Even if you do not have Instagram, I suggest checking the profile at least 2 times a week. Anything important that is uploaded on the Instagram will also be relayed through the GroupMe.

P.S. The greatest thing about attending district convention is that it isn’t just for club officers. Any Key Club member can go!
