latter had new paintings on display over the summer—but most exhibits feature works from other contemporary painters, photographers, sculptors and mixed media artists. The gallery includes group shows and individual exhibitions, large and small works, and art that uplifts and i n s p i r e s . T h e g a l l e r y ’s p i e c e s h o l d d e e p m e a n i n g s that call upon the viewer to reflect and learn. Despite its quiet, side-street setting, the gallery is f u l l y i n t h e m a i n s t re a m o f a r t c o n v e r s a t i o n i n S t . L o u i s . U p c o m i n g a r t i s t s i n c l u d e J o n C o u r n o y e r, h e a d o f design at the Saint Louis Art Museum, whose detailed collages invite careful examination; Lauren Marx, who draws the complexity of nature; and Christopher B u r c h , w h o e x p l o r e s m y t h o l o g y a n d r a t i o n a l i t y.
