Author Visit: A Reading With B.J. Hollars Join Fort Wayne native and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire professor B.J. Hollars as he reads from his newly released nonfiction books: From the Mouths of Dogs: What Our Pets Teach Us About Life, Death and Being Human and This is Only A Test. Following the reading, B.J. will take questions and discuss topics pertaining to both books. Books will be available for purchase. Ten per cent of the book sales will be donated to the Friends of the Allen County Public Library. This author visit will take place on April 13 at 6:30 pm in Meeting Room C at the Main Library.

Begin your journey into using the Sparkfun Inventor's kit which will guide you through experiments of varying difficulty as you learn about electronics and basic computer programming. The Maker lab will be open to library patrons and guest. You can come in and use the lab to work on new projects and creative ideas. Our Maker lab guides will be there to assist you and answer questions. Patrons and guests under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the lab. Sign in with a maker lab guide. Be prepared, properly dressed, use eye protective gear when working with machinery, use tools the right way, clean up and return tools where you got them, and never use tools unless you have been trained.
