Tell Us Your Story: To begin, I've been working as a singer/songwriter in Los Angeles for the last 10 years. I have always liked having a flexible schedule, and I like being my own boss. after a long while of trying to think about what to do, it hit me like a ton of bricks one day. I knew I wanted to be in the music industry working, since I’m skilled at it and because I love it so much. I randomly just thought to myself: vocal coach. I made my mind up, and decided it was time to conquer. I woke up one morning, created set pricing/services for myself and made an Instagram and a Yelp page for my business. I reached out to every manager/publicist/producer/artist/agent/songwriter I knew to tell them my services. I printed out flyers and posted them all over Los Angeles county, Ventura county, and Orange County. I made it my mission to get clients. I spent the next week watching YouTube videos on how to be the best vocal coach. after hustling at it like crazy, I finally started getting clients. I’ve been vocal coaching for about 2 years now. I have over 30 weekly clients who I not only vocal coach but I also write songs for them to release, vocal produce their recording sessions, and oversee most of their music career goals and help them try to accomplish them with the knowledge I’ve gained. I jumped into it without any preparation plan. I just knew I had to do something, and I figured this was perfect for me.What is also very convenient as I do a lot of my vocal coaching‘s on FaceTime.

Therefore, I am able to travel, have a flexible schedule and still get work done. I wake up everyday so happy knowing I get to make my own hours the way I like and charge what I believe my services are worth. Now, this type of job isn’t for everybody, it’s not so easy. I don’t have a boss telling me what I have to do every day. So I have to create work for myself so the business continues. I recently hired an assistant to help reach out and get more clients and handling some of the small tasks I can’t always get done, which has been super helpful. But, for the last 2 years, I had to do it all myself. Entrepreneurship has taught me more than I could ever have imagined. The level of discipline you have to have is really high. but overall, it’s so rewarding and so worth it. I love what I do!!!!

Have You Had Any Obstacles/Challenges? Of course there has been obstacles! Life in general is full of obstacles. When you're selfemployed, you have to not only do the work, but you have to create it. That's a hard thing to do sometimes. Some months are amazing financially, others aren't. And it's a constant hustle. The beginning of having my own business was really tough, because I was desperately needing clients, especially because bills were coming up. But thats when the serious work ethic has to come in. You have to be so laser-focused on doing what you've got to do. You have to go the extra mile if you want the extra result. Tell Us More About Your Business. Compared to other vocal coaches, and it's a competitive industry in LA, I am way more relatable to. I mainly teach teens and young adults. They see me as a big sister, someone they can trust and understand. Most vocal coaches are older women in their 60's. Music is vulnerable and personal. A singer needs a vocal coach who they can feel comfortable around. A teenager doesn't wanna talk about their music and personal life with someone who reminds them of their mean principle. I am proud to be so young and doing this. I feel a deep connection to my students and I love seeing growth in them, it motivates me. What Are Your Future Plans? As far as the future goes, I just wanna keep growing the business. Financially, there's more money in the songwriting aspect of it all. Over the last 2 years, there's been more songwriting gigs for the clients. Since I am a singer and a songwriter myself, it's really up my alley to write songs. What's amazing is that; since I've built a personal relationship with them, I know how to write songs for them, because I know their personaility. The business will continue to grow, as it has been. Social media has played a huge part in my business so growing that online presence is always on the to-do list.
Any Advice For Future Entrepreneurs? The biggest fear is always that you'll fail. Failure isn't real if you don't want it to be. Take EVERYTHING as a learning lesson. The best lessons I've learned are from "messing up". Jump head first into what you wanna do. Nobody can take your drive and passion away. Stay focused, there will be times when you'll wanna use your self-employed freedom to take tons of days off. But know this, hard work will always win in the end, even if you have to miss a couple baby showers here and there.

(He gave birth not only to me as a mother, but also to me as an entrepreneur). I was working in a corporate set up back then, but knew my heart was calling out to look deeper within. Before I realized, I set up a YouTube channel (I am in fact the first Indian mother to have a YouTube channel on Early Learning and Montessori) and formed a FB community of parents. I wanted to create a safe space for parents to interact, ask questions and share their knowledge. The FB community now has close to 39K members. I love being their guide & nurturer. I am truly passionate about empowering mothers to find real joy and harmony inside their parenting, personal productivity and business journey! I have few beautiful programs created for my members where I mentor them with all my heart. My vision is to serve as many women as I can through my work.

Eight years ago I was working in the corporate world in New York City. But I wasn't happy. I had everything one could want in life. But I still wasn't happy. So I sold everything I owned, bought a one-way ticket to Paris, grabbed my tiny laptop and was determined to find a way to make money with it and go to the beach every day. After a visit to my family in southern Italy, I felt I had finally found my place and decided to stay. It took several years of hard work and ups and downs and massive wins with massive falls, but I was able to build a six-figure business that I run from home and yes I still do go to the beach every day.
Has it been easy?? ,
Absolutely not!!! I cried. I lost sleep. I spent hours and hours on my computer. I got lots of clients. I lost lots of clients. I had clients with incredible results that I have worked with for years. And clients who told me I was horrible. The emotional journey that came along with the entrepreneurial journey was not quite one I was expecting. But overall I am very happy with the woman I have become because of it all.

INTERVIEW WITH MARIETTE SAVU TELL US YOUR STORY I have a Bachelor's degree in Directing for film and television and I've worked for 10 years as a video editor. I had a successful career, but with the price of an unbalanced lifestyle, working sometimes 18 hours shifts, night shifts, weekend shifts. When I reached the big 30's I started questioning my life's direction and I decided to leave my home country, Romania, and move to London. It's rarely easy when you need to take everything from scratch in a whole new place. It takes time to integrate and adapt to a whole different environment. I started first working in hospitality as a waitress, then I swapped for office jobs. I worked as a receptionist and did lots of administrative jobs. At a certain point I found myself once again in the same pattern as before, feeling stuck and unsatisfied. Although now I had a better balance in my lifestyle and more free time than ever before, the price I had to pay was receiving less income. I kept applying for better jobs everyday, and when I noticed that after 6 months I didn't get not even 1 single interview, I said to myself "Maybe this isn't the way. Maybe I need to take a brake from this desperate search and focus for a while on something else." The frustration was eating me from inside, so my only option to avoid being overwhelmed was this. I remember buying my first audio book called "Trust me, I'm lying! Confessions of a media manipulator" by Ryan Holiday. Somehow while listening to his book I felt my mind opening to new scenarios. It turned my long morning commute into a meditation. I was listening to the author, but my mind also wondered into places it has never been before. All of a sudden my business idea came to me, I started to play with the possibilities in my head and felt excited and enthusiastic like I haven't been in years. Happy like a child, and ignorant to obstacles I was going to to face, I said to myself. "If I can't find a job, I will start my own business!"
I Knew it was going to be hard, simply because I never contemplated with the idea of owning my business. I was programmed by my environment to think that others own businesses, and I will always be just an employee.
I was earning minimum wage, so it took courage to ignore it and focus on investing the little money I had to spare, and also compensate it with my abilities and skills. I had a strong feeling that the right people would come my way somehow, and they did. I bought straight away my domain, learned from Youtube how to create my logo, registered it as a trade mark. I educated myself with online courses and did my first ever business plan. I applied for a small government loan to help me buy tools and other necessities. I was also offered through this loan scheme a mentor once a month for a year. I had so much movement in terms of new experiences and knowledge, but I was still far from launching my business. The biggest step was creating the website that will help my business exist. Kisses from London.com creates personalised overseas greetings. Customers create in just 3 steps their surprise package, so the website is the tool enabling them to create it. The price range for this type of website varied so much from £3000 to £21000.

"International Kissing Day I managed to launch Kisses From London" KissesfromLondon.com started coming slowly to life with the help of people that I meet, (sometimes just online), who believed in me and my idea and offered their help for free. When one person would go, somehow a little after someone else would appear to continue the work that had to be done. On 6th of July, on International Kissing Day I managed to launch KissesfromLondon. I received my first orders, and although it wasn't much I felt full of joy, that these passed 2 years and a half have brought me here. I don't have yet a team, although I consider all my contributors as part of the team. I am doing everything myself for now, but I have the faith that everything happens in the right time, and soon I will meet the right people, and together we will build the Kisses from London brand.Â
Along this path I intersected with 2 types of mentalities. People who would believe in my idea and support me, either with encouragement, advice or actual practical help, and people who would constantly say to me I shouldn't bother to try, as it is going to be too hard, I don't have the money or experience. I won't make it. From both of these I learned something and I used the interaction with them, as a fuel to keep me going. I said to myself: "Hard is not the same with Impossible. Hard is like anything else that is hard in life, like going to gym, changing environment, not having a purpose, not having a direction, taking responsibility of your own actions. I didn't know when I started that through all those business development courses, i would in fact discover who I am and what I really want. Â
Although sometimes the unknown and my own insecurities hurt a lot, now looking back I don't see it as a hard period of my life, I see it as the most exciting self discovery journey I could ever take. I am proud of everything I accomplished so far, and I celebrate any small steps took along the way, as these little steps take us to the big breakthrough. They give us the confidence, they keep away the impostor syndrome and they show us who we really are. I am happy now one called me for an interview, as it has kept me on my right path.
- when I started noticing my thoughts and their pattern, for the ones not aligned with my purpose, I would say "thank you for your opinion, but we don't do this anymore." - I would exercise and also do breathing exercises every day, even if for only 10 minutes. Breathing is the first thing I hold when I am tensioned and notice that in anxiety episodes, focusing on my breath really helped. - I started doing meditation from time to time when I needed - when my body was trembling out of nowhere, I would just stop and focus on its reactions and accept them with love and compassion. The body does what it has been thought, and I need to understand it first, before trying to change it. I would put the hand on the most painful part of my body (sometimes my stomach, sometimes my head or sometimes my neck) and I would stroke it gently saying it will be alright, trust it will heal.

- I realised I had a feeling that something was choking me, like I would have a hand grabbing my neck. By accepting it and being quite, I observed that this symptom would only appear when I was feeling stuck and powerless. I started treating this by changing the thoughts.
- I read a book called: "Heal your wounds and make yourself better" by Lise Bourbeau and it has since been a tool of understanding myself, as I never did before.
- I listened to music that moved me emotionally and gave me a liberating feeling,( a lot of Robbie Williams lately. When I am listening to his lyrics, it's like talking with my intuition)
- I would watch motivational videos and keep the momentum with positive affirmation.

My future plan is to spread as many English Kisses as possible. Never listen to the inner chatter that is trying to convince you out of it. This chatter is the old limiting beliefs system, trying to keep you safe in a way that is no longer useful to you. Sometimes this chatter will try to convince you it's the voice of your intuition, but you can easily see if it's true or not. When you have an idea, if it's strong enough it will move you into action. The moment you start acting on it, your mind will try to convince you our of it. Stop the dialog and think of the idea being completed already. i you feel positive emotions related to its completion, than go for it. It's not your intuition trying to stop you, it's your mental programming. When you feel stuck, ask yourself questions as it will focus your mind towards finding the answer and the answer will present itself to you. I always think of the Coca Cola story. In the first year of existence Coca Cola sold only 25 bottles in a year. Imagine if the founder would have quit saying it's not working. Just let that sync in. The biggest commitment you can take to yourself is that: "Resting is good and necessary, but quitting is not an option."

Really narrow this down to just one single peron, what does she look like, what is her life like, what does she struggle with. PRO TIP: create a secret pinterest board to see what your target audience looks like. From there, create a mission statement that represents your brand.

Why you decided to start one: I had a passion for events since I was in middle school, then planned for opening my company while I was in High School (2006-2010). Fundraisers were my forte, hence "Fundforte" so I decided to open up a business after graduation, but then wanted to earn some certifications in my field first before starting the company. It quickly turned in to a full service agency for different kinds of events, products and services.
What it was like in the beginning: Very messy. But lots of lessons learned. I am very transparent with my life and just wanted to give you a timeline of events that I give to other people who are interested in interviewing me because I will talk about these things as my public speaking on my experiences have helped so many others. I have always been a very positive person and have always been highly sensitive to the emotions of others. And my belief in love before was to treat my partner how I would want to be treated if I were in his shoes.

timeline of the events that have made me continue to change my mindset, belief in the Universe and strength within : December 2009-Â Found out that I was 3 months pregnant, I was the Student Body President and a Senior in High School June 2010- Won a $10,000 Scholarship, Graduated from High School with honors, Delivered my first born son 2010 - 2013- Studied various business classes, courses and received certifications / attended college, received awards and prizes

(He had been falsely accused of various crimes, because he fit a profile and then the real culprits were caught, so my naive butt still believed him) December 2014- Our second son is born 2015- Their father had been released from Jail around September and then I found out he had been using methamphetamine on Christmas Day.

2016- Tried to enroll him in rehab, Still operating business, received more awards, recognition and media features September 2016- I spent 24 hours+ in the female prison for defending myself when he and I got in to a fight. He didn't go to jail because he was beaten up worse than I was. November 2016- He relapses and he ends up in prison for a month January 2017- We promise each other to lead a healthier life for our kids. We move to a new house, new job for him and hopes for new future
April 2017- My home gets raided for the 3rd time during my relationship with this man and my kids were with me this time. He goes to prison for armed robbery for 5+ years. And I FINALLY end that almost 10 year relationship. Because we were young parents, our goal was to get married this year of 2017. 2017- Casual dating, won a makeover, awards, grants and scholarships, business was beautiful. December 2017- Got serious with another man

April 2018- won more prizes and the title for the Small Business Association's Homebased Business Champion for the US Territory of Guam June 2018- He ended up stalking me after we broke up. Breaking in to my home, attempted suicide, robbing me multiple times, forced sex, thousands of phone calls, messages, texts. Created a fake tinder profile of me, broke his restraining order and more. I did most of the recording work, filing, Marshall work, investigation work on my own and finally tracked him down to be arrested properly for violating. Was a full time student, still trying to operate business and all while working a part time job as well as a drug addiction program manager and suicide prevention trainer February 2019- Quit my part time job April 2019- Moved to a house that was gifted to me by my grandparents and crazy guy finally appeared in court and hasn't annoyed me since

May 2019- A nice 4 figure client wanted a full refund of her deposit and I granted her request because again, treating others how I want to be treated... and it spiraled me in to a low point. But I dusted myself off and worked harder than ever before! June 2019- Repairing my credit, taking charge of my finances, spending more time with family and doing more self care, self improvement and mindset adjustment. This year alone I have been called unprofessional 4 times from short term, low pay

ADVICE FOR FUTURE
ENTREPRENEURS? The advice that I give everyone is to just start. If you're scared? Start anyway. Broke? Start with what you have. Lonely? Embrace being able to make decisions for yourself by yourself. No support? Start to remember why you had your idea in the first place, there are more people out there who are feeling the same thing you were feeling and your idea may just be the solution they are looking for as well. Not sure where to start? Gain clarity by expressing your thoughts, feelings and emotions. You need to take those and bring them to fruition even if it is just as simple as writing down or sketching the idea out. Doing so every day or as often as possible gets you closer and closer to making your idea a reality. If I had just started my company in high school rather than only plan for it and save money, my business would have been 13 years old already. That is one of the hardest lessons I've faced was not starting sooner, and acting on impulse when I had the ideas in high school. I encourage people to just start because I don't want them to feel how I felt knowing that I could have started ever since then, even if that meant making mistakes along the way.

One of the biggest mistakes startups make is to assume a lot of people will want to buy a particular product or service, because the business owner likes the ideas or knows one or two people who want the product or service. To minimize your risk for loss, never assume there is a market. Research the idea. Talk to real potential prospects (who aren't family and friends) to find out if what you want to sell is something they'd be interested in buying, and if so, what they'd pay for the product or service.

GIRL! TELL US YOUR STORY
I was blessed with the gift of healing. I discovered my gift when I was 14yrs old. My father is a chiropractor and my mother became a massage therapist when I was in high school. I suffered severe insomnia most of my childhood. One evening my mom came home after her classes of massage instruction and practiced what she learned on me, I slept the entire night. I woke to daylight laying on the massage table still, ran upstairs in shear joy telling my mom how elated I was to have slept. I realized that day; massage therapy was powerful medicine. That summer my mom taught me everything she had learned in her classes and I began my journey of helping heal others. I started working in my father's office on patients of all sorts with many issues and injuries. When I turned 18 I got my license and started working my own business along with the chiropractic office. In 2003 my mom and I opened our own little massage business in Wrightwood, CA. We worked very hard but became very successful, to this day my mom has monthly clients up in the little mountain town.
I branched out and moved to Orange County where I discovered yoga. In 2007 I had a vision of my path changing and evolving my healing passion. I knew it would involve teaching yoga as well as massage. My teacher, Sarah Stevenson encouraged me to go to teacher training. I did and completed my 200 RYT in 2010. I created One Love Yoga & Massage to help others heal on a deep level through natural methods. I believe very strongly in overall health. Essential oils and supplementation are also two passions I love sharing with others to help assist in their healing journey to wellness. The mind and the body working collectively together for an optimal life. I have had many obstacles in my health that taught me valuable lessons I can now share with others and relate to help heal them. Today I am strong, powerful and full of inspiration from a tribe of amazing women in my life. Most of my influences directly taught me and shifted my journey for a deeper understanding of life and true wellness.

I have had many struggles with my health; 2004 cervical cancer; LEEP surgery, 2005 surgeries on my ovaries for cyst removal, 2007 gastritis, 2009 colitis, 2010 a horrific car accident two weeks after completing YTT getting hit at 80mph while stopped at a light which resulted in a neck injury and debilitating migraines for more years than I thought was possible. The amount of stress dealing with health issues is overwhelming. I was living in Kauai and got blessed with my miracle child, Kekoa. I was struggling deeply with my health when his conception (on birth control) happened.
I was 9lbs underweight the first trimester and by the time I was 6 months still 12lbs underweight from the stress and constant disabling migraines. My Dr. put me on disability and when I look back it was the biggest blessing possible. I struggled tremendously financially but was finally able to grow my son and nourish him like he needed. The migraines were still really horrible. My girlfriend Harmonie shared with me about the supplements I now use daily and have had a HUGE life improvement with them. My last tip on the “strategy” side of social media for businesses and entrepreneurs is to remember that passion helps generate truly great and memorable content. Success on social media is a long road. It took me minimum 6 months of hard work to get to a point where I felt good about my business. Imagine if those 6 months were filled with posting content that I didn’t care about! The only way to ensure long term commitment and that social media doesn’t become a burden is to follow your passion. The nice thing about social media is that your content doesn’t have to be directly related to your brand or industry. Meaning it doesn’t have to be what everyone else is doing. I suggest that as business owners you pick a topic that you love and are truly passionate about.

INTERVIEW WITH ALISON Tell Us Your Story I started my business 3 years ago with only £500 left in my bank account after paying out for contacts to be signed to get the keys to my first shop. Every one said and told me I was mad as I only had £500 I had to fill a shop full of flowers and gifts at this point. I was starting to think they where right but I had the keys so no turning back.
At the end of mother’s days I looked around and found I had a empty shop but had money setting in my bank account so this was the start of me buying bigger and better things to sell as gifts and also meant I could buy more flowers at a time 3 years on I am still running my florist and gift shop but from a different shop ( due to my first shop being sold off to make way for flats)

I eventually hit burnout mode (multiple times)... I started questioning everything about myself. Why couldn’t I just be like everyone else? The worst part was that to everyone on the outside, I actually appeared “successful” – I held a good job, was a supportive friend, and was always motivating others towards their dreams. Yet on the inside, I was frustrated, tired, and saw no clear path to fulfill my own potential.
It was only when I began focusing on my passions and strengths that I began to hone in on my true calling – and see tremendous results in my business. I created and tested systems, read and studied books from experts, networked constantly, and pushed myself outside of my own comfort zone. If I was able to overcome my biggest obstacles and find my own unique success, so can you.

Any Obstacles? Once I got clear on my why and where I wanted to go the hardest part became the HOW. How was I going to make this tremendous impact? How was I going to build my legacy? So I did something that was outside of of my comfort zone in starting a business -
I let others in. When many of us are starting a business we get so caught up on the ownership of it and want to control every little piece. Instead, I allowed others to dream with me and the vision of Integrous Women grew so much wider and impactful than my own initial scope.
Don't be afraid to let others in to your dream, and give them a voice in the process. Above and beyond the "letting go of control" challenge, a big struggle for me has been to find my own voice and leadership style. I've always been a passionate person who loves to people-please (anyone relate?)

INTERVIEW WITH KENZ SOLIMAN Since I was a little girl, my mom always taught me 1 thing: "get educated…only education will move you forward in life and only by learning you will get more opportunities for a better life" I was raised by my mom and my late grandma, my mom had to work in another country to finance our education, we would only see her once a year for a few days before she flies back to work, she worked 16 hour shifts, I remember seeing blisters on her feet from standing too long, and whenever we had a chance to spend time with her she always reminded us (me & my sister) that because she dropped out of college, she couldn't find a better job and she wants us to have a better future…she taught us how to speak English from age 5 and we would spend nights dreaming about traveling the world and she knew teaching us to speak another language will help us very much as I grew up,

I graduated from college in 2008 (that is dinosaur times in internet age haha!), I got the sparkly 9:5 accountant job that my mom always dreamed of for me but in my heart….I knew that I was meant for more, I always wanted to inspire others to dream big! and I never stopped learning, and just a few months before I got married, I quit my 9:5 job and decided to be a housewife! I then had a feeling in my heart that sparked again…so after 3 months of my marriage and just a few weeks before knowing I was pregnant, I decided to try working from home and back then I had ZERO knowledge of where to start or how to start.When I first started online back in 2011 I used to offer Facebook pages and group admin work and some small business social media marketing that was helping me make little money here and there and also I was an affiliate marketer for some IM products. I used to spend hours every day trying to make a sale, I had no list, no following, no one knew who the heck am I, and I was struggling to make even $50 per MONTH!

It was a dream for me to go to sleep and then wake up to money in my account that I made while sleeping…… The problem wasn’t in affiliate marketing! I saw people making money DAILY from it because they had a following and an email list, and as a housewife from Egypt who is Muslim and Hijabi…I felt like an outsider!“who would ever wanna learn something from me or buy anything through me?” I always told myself that!Until one day, a client of mine asked if I could teach her how to manage her Facebook page on her own as a “PRIVATE COURSE” and I did…I sat down to my computer and just recorded my screen while I was explaining to her what I do when I am hired to manage a Facebook page from start to finish…and I really REALLY enjoyed that! I thought teaching was so much easier and fun than I expected…then it hit me! “I can create online courses and teach people what I already know and help them! I can create the course once and sell it multiple times!” at the time,
I was taking some courses on Udemy and I still remember that scary moment when I clicked the “become an instructor” button…the fears of facing the world…the million “what if” questions that were taking over my head…what if people don’t like me? what if they hate the courses I wanna make? what if they get turned off by just knowing I’m from Egypt and a Muslim and a hijabi? what if I fail? I gathered every last drop of courage that I had back then, sat down to my computer and recorded a 35 minutes and 40 seconds course on the power of hashtags, filled in the forms on Udemy, uploaded my course and waited for approval…..I remember these as the longest 48 hours in my business’s life, lol! Then another VERY successful Udemy instructor back then said that we need to give away at least 2000 free coupons to each course we create to build our lists on Udemy fast…I laughed to myself saying:” do you think you can even get 200 people to grab a free coupon to that 35-minute THING you created? aim small, little Kenz!”…

TURNING DREAMS TO A REALITY KENZ SOLIMAN and I created a coupon for 1000 people as a “dreamy goal” and submitted it to one of the coupon websites…. fast forward to the very next morning…”ding!”, “ding!”,Diiiiiiiiiing!!!!!” these were the notifications from my email telling me I just got a new subscriber to my course!I was smiling like an idiot with each new ding, lol! and after almost 72 hours of “dings!”, I had my first 1000 students in my first ever course! wait, what?! 1000 people wanted to learn from ME? are they even sane?!!After the reviews from those first 1000 students started coming in all in 4 and 5 stars with the best captions EVER! I became a course creation machine! I was so happy with the feedback and I just wanted more and more of this!Waking up excited every morning, jumping out of bed to finish my chores as a wife and a mom and run to my laptop and microphone and start talking to the world in my courses! Since that day: I wake up to new sales and money every.single.day! I never had a $0 month again EVER! I was creating at least 3 new courses per WEEK! just because I wanted to! I started getting featured and recognized by many websites and blogs I went from ZERO to 10,000 students in less than 18 months (no more free coupons, at least not a thousand coupons anymore!)
