Tell Us Your Story: I’ve been surrounded by creative entrepreneurs my entire life. My mother was a music photographer, and my step-father was a theater producer, so I was constantly surrounded by people who were committed to carving out their own life paths. I was born in New York City, but at 15 we moved to Louisville, Kentucky. My upbringing taught me adaptability and how to make the most out of the variety of situations you will inevitably be presented with throughout life. After college I moved to Denver, CO where I began my corporate journey. During my professional years in Denver I worked in marketing for a variety of industries - film, commercials, television, real estate, food and beverage, theater, radio, and even farming. Between holding positions as a Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Director, Production Coordinator, an Email Specialist and a Digital Operations Manager I realized how much you had to segment yourself to hold corporate positions. I like wearing multiple hats - I prefer to strategize the big picture, not just code emails all day. My business grew for the first year through word of mouth. I worked my full-time job during the day and spent nights and weekends with clients.
After 10 months of 80 hour work weeks I realized, despite working that much and being completely burned out, I loved my personal clients. It brought me a sense of fulfillment I had not previously found. I decided to take the leap and fully immerse myself in Ignite Your Verve. Everyone knows the axiom, “Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” Sure, that sounds AMAZING, but if you own your own business, there are days where you feel like there is an ENDLESS pile of work because your business is a never-ending work of art. If you can laugh, dance, celebrate, embrace the messy, stay motivated and stay passionate through the ups and the downs that means you’re truly doing something you love. That is what I’m committing to doing every day.

Have You Had Any Obstacles/Challenges? I feel like no entrepreneur’s road is smooth. As an entrepreneur you have to constantly learn, evolve, explore, have a solid growth mindset and wear many different hats as you begin. The biggest obstacle I have faced is having 100% faith in MYSELF. For a long time it was natural for me to believe whole heartedly in my clients and their businesses that I forgot to take time each day to support myself and celebrate my personal wins. As an entrepreneur you have to remember to celebrate YOURSELF and not just your clients. Tell Us More About Your Business. I specialize in brand development, business strategy, community cultivation and digital marketing. I cover a lot of ground with my clients website development, website management, PR, social media, graphic design, business and brand strategy, outreach and even photography. All the services I offer work together to transform a company and build a community around my client’s business. The relationships I develop with my clients is what I think sets me apart. There is depth in every conversation I have with my clients whether it is personal or professional. I focus on integrity, honesty, growth and empowerment, which is something I infuse into all of my work and communication with clients. Times when clients lose faith in their business I help them remember why they are badass and why the world needs what they are offering. Times when clients need to talk about personal issues we discuss them because at the end of the day I am an advocate for their business and strengthening their mindset helps to strengthen their business. I am most proud of how I work to empower my clients. Many times small businesses have one advocate, the founder, but when I work with a client I become passionately invested in helping their business grow so they feel strong and powerful. Helping someone bring their vision to life and see people's response to it is one of the most satisfying experiences. What Are Your Future Plans? I recently launched a website for John Cameron Mitchell, which made me realize how much I truly enjoy website development. I am working on carving out a clearer path of what I love to do for clients including strategy, digital marketing, website development, courses and adding an philanthropic component to Ignite Your Verve.

You are the only person standing in your way. If you keep that perspective your resilience will be unstoppable and your growth undeniable. DO YOU HAVE ANY FUTURE PLANS? By December of this year I will be relocation to a new salon space. I’m looking forward to rebranding the company to create my own personal touches. I’m also excited to be able to decorate a new space for the business so it will finally feel completely my own.

5 steps to a sales funnel Step 1: Analyze Your Audience’s Behavior The more you know about your audience, the more effective your sales funnel becomes. You’re not marketing to everybody. You’re marketing to people who are a good fit for what you sell.Sign up for a Crazy Egg account and start creating Snapshots. These user behavior reports help you monitor site activity and figure out how people engage with your site.Where do they click? When do they scroll? How much time do they spend on a particular page? All of these data points will help you refine your buyer personas. Step 2: Capture Your Audience’s Attention The only way your sales funnel works is if you can lure people into it. This means putting your content in front of your target audience.Take the organic route and post tons of content across all of your platforms. Diversify with infographics, videos, and other types of content.If you’re willing to spend more cash, run a few ads. The ideal place to run those ads depends on where your target audience hangs out. If you’re selling B2B, LinkedIn ads might be the perfect solution. Step 3: Build a Landing Page Your ad or other content needs to take your prospects somewhere. Ideally, you want to direct them to a landing page with a can’t-miss offer.Since these people are still low in the sales funnel, focus on capturing leads instead of pushing the sale.A landing page should steer the visitor toward the next step.You need a bold call to action that tells them exactly what to do, whether it’s downloading a free ebook or watching an instructional video. Step 4: Create an Email Drip Campaign Market to your leads through email by providing amazing content. Do so regularly, but not too frequently. A social media tip for businesses and entrepreneurs is to always (authentically) be you on social media.Take a second to think about the brands that you follow on social media…. What makes them special? What makes you follow them? Chances are that there is something special about the content they post or the way in which they post it. I'm guessing they have a personality and aren’t just brand robots pushing out content. Creating a great social media presence isn’t only about showing the value of your product or service to your audience. It’s about connection and experiences. The best brands out there share a common point of view with their fans.

INTERVIEW WITH JOANNE JOHNSON TELL US YOUR STORY In 2016 I was working part time as a office manager and had just started my Real Estate Business while also being a mom to 2 little boys and a wife to my husband at the time. I had recently moved to a very small town in SW Colorado and was adjusting to my new life.... Prior to becoming a wife and a mom I was a Flight Attendant for United Airlines and had mostly lived in cities... This city girl got talked into moving to the mountains and learning a whole new way of life... One day I found myself on a webinar with Mastin Kipp.. He was talking about spiritual gifts and how you can create a business using those gifts//// Spirituality has been a huge part of my life since I was a little girl. I started meditating at 10 yrs old and have had a very strong intuition my whole life. I had also experienced tons of synchronicities, signs and a lot of universal assistance! I love Law of Attraction and the teachings of Wayne Dyer and Abraham Hicks. My spiritual connection is a big part of my everyday lifee, so when Mastin told me I could create a business with my Spiritual Gifts, I was sold. I was accepted into the coaching program but didn't realize at the time that I was applying for a $15,000 program! I knew that I wanted to share my gifts with the world and so I found a way to come up with the money. I studied and dove into the program willingly. I was ready to take this on and nothing was going to stop me... The thing is, we learned soooo much in that program and starting with no product was really hard for me. I needed a lead magnet, auto responder, a coaching program, content, copy, and on an on. I had no idea how to create it all and how much work was before me.. I worked as much as I could, I took class after class to continue understanding everything it takes to run an online coaching business. I was still working as a Real Estate Agent and was still juggling everything while having a family.... I have come so far in my coaching business, I have been featured on Podcasts and in a book too! I love being able to show others the magic of this universe and to encourage everyone to live their own dream! My work is dynamic and it's a blessing to help others find their connection.

INTERVIEW WITH JOANNE JOHNSON any obstacles or challenges? There were many struggles trying to understand Marketing and Coaching in general. The biggest obstacle of all was the ending of my marriage. In Sept. 2017 I became a survivor of domestic violence. It was a serious attack and was worse than I had ever imagined that it would be. One day I was married and the next I was having my husband removed from the house and was filing for divorce. By December of 2017 I had fallen into a deep depression, my life as I knew it awas over and I was barely hanging on. I have learned so much from this experience and to my surprise a huge gift came out of that awful situation and depression. I wrote an Ebook about my journey out of depression. (You can grab a free copy at www.themanifestingmovement.org) I discovered a way to change my thoughts and emotions deliberately and was able to pull myself out of my depression in just 3 days !!! It's incredible how you can heal your life when you don't have other options. When they say change your thoughts, change your life they aren't kidding and I have shown myself how over and over again... After all of that I found the drive to continue pursuing my coaching business and was able to help my local community by speaking at a fundraiser for my local resource center. In June of 2018 I wrote and delivered a speech that helped to raise $50,000 in 30 minutes ! It's wonderful feeling to turn an awful experience into something that inspires and and helps others!

It is an incredible way to give back and it feels amazing to encourage others to pursue their dreams even after surviving domestic violence.

EDITORS NOTE 5 Tips To Build Self Confidence

GAIN CONFIDENCE NOW There are very few people who could call themselves perfect and be right. Most of us need to build self confidence today, but the majority just either ignore the issues or concentrate on the negatives: stress, worry, jobs, money problems and relationship issues. Concentrating on these areas drains our self confidence rather than improving it. If you could improve your self confidence you could make more money, look and feel better physically, or just be more relaxed with other people. Below there are five simple techniques that have been proved to help build self confidence today.
1. Talk to yourself. It sounds crazy but it works. All of us have a running monologue constantly in our heads, whether we realize it or not. Everything we see, hear, or touch sparks off an immediate dialog in our thoughts. For those who lack confidence this monologue is filled with negative messages many of which are the negative side of adverts from television, radio, advertisement boardings, newspapers, and just overhearing other people talk. These negative thoughts literally suck energy from our minds and bodies and block the flow of positive messages. We need to hear the positive messages as they will build self confidence today and raise our self esteem. Take control. Use your inner thoughts to talk to yourself in a positive manner, as often as you can. As an example one of my regular sayings is "I like myself, I like myself, I like myself". I just repeat it for a couple of minutes. It sounds cheesy, but does build self confidence today ñ Try it. I bet that if you go to the mirror right now and repeat out loud "I like myself!" 50 times, it will be impossible to keep from smiling. 2. Dress as smart and classy as you can. You wont feel at your best if you don't look your best. You will be amazed at just how much more confidence you will have just looking your best. It just feels good when you are wearing your best clothes, are well groomed, and are surrounded by a clean environment. So what if it is Saturday, you need to build self confidence today not next week. Put on your nice clothes, get the car washed, style that hair! A hairdresser once told me "Everyday is show time!"
3. Increase your self esteem even more by giving thanks to what you are, how you look, and what you are doing. Say "thank you" to yourself to everything you see, all whom you meet, and each smile that you receive.
4. Stand or sit correctly: How you stand sends out a message to the World, and in turn, back to you. This results in improving how you feel about yourself and will build self confidence today and every day. There is scientific evidence that shows how posture affects our mood. Do not slouch. Slouching produces a down mood. By slouching you are telling the world and yourself it doesn't matter, you don't matter. Standing tall and upright will actually lift your mood. Help build up your confidence by pulling back those shoulders, stop that slouch, and walk proud.
5. Smile. Just smile and things seem better somehow. Practice smiling regularly and get your facial muscles used to the physical act of smiling.
