Culture Night
Culture Night
by AM19 Taiwan News Team
Show the Passion of Your Motherland!
What’s the most memorable part of GA to you? To many of us, it’s a once in a lifetime experience because of one and every of us that participated, having various origins and beliefs, but all traveling to one country to become a part of the event. It’s thrilling to think that we were all placed in a cultural palette and filling our hearts with different colors after the AM. Therefore, the culture Night is undoubtedly the perfect timing for every country to convey their welcoming messages to the world! Splendid dancing shows, musicals, and other diverse performances were all included in the revelry night. It was surely an unforgettable carnival for all of us.

Activities Fair Due to various factors that contribute to the beautiful diversity among us, we are on the other hand being confronted with different challenges and responsibilities. At the Activities Fair, problems were not ignored but raised, followed by all kinds of creative and implementable solutions. Like the Contracts Fair, souvenirs and cultural knowledges were also exchanged, but brought to a different level as the posts and discussions were mainly targeted to address all kinds of healthcare problems.
Activities Fair
by Wei-An Wen, Tz-Yin Ding, Yong-Jie Ding For instance, the “Project Immuno displayed by Slovenia aimed to deal with educational problems regarding the decreased population of vaccinated children, and the MIGHTY study group formed by Korean students held subactivities to assist medical students with looking into diverse topics they are interested in. To sum up, the activities fair was the very place where we shake off our petty differences and emerge with a sense of global consciousness and global responsibility.

Plenary
Plenary
by Tz-Yin Ding, Yu-Ting Huang
when visions are shared and directions are oriented
Being the most formal and vital part of the GA, the plenary is when all delegates are gathered to discuss about the future of IFMSA and announce important messages in a decent and ceremonious manner. It usually begins with a roll call encompassing vitality, and goes carefully with the pre-organized agenda led by the team of officials. Although being a serious occasion, all delegates contributed their time and effort into attending the plenary, to cast meaningful votes and to confirm the justice and rationality of every decision made. One memorable moment for the OC of Taiwan was a heart-comforting statement given by the Swedish, which showed sincere gratitude to the AM 19 team. We could only reply that all delegates were worthy of it, and thank all of you for the considerate acts and encouragements!

Closing Ceremony
Closing Ceremony
by Yu-Ying Huang, Wei-An Wen
“Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation .” In The Prophet, Khalil Gibran gently notes. Now the GA has fianlly came to an end, and we found it difficult to say goodbye. The Closing Ceremony started from Taiwanese traditional cultural performances, given by the Taiwanese OC and volunteers. It’s hard to believe that they mastered such dynamic performances in a short time. After that, the winner of the Rex Crossley Awards was announced, encouraging medical students to exert their power and implement changes in the world. One of the most moving part was when Dr. Batool Al Wahdani gave a touching speech, and thanked her crew for a demanding but fulfilling year. Of course, the effort of another woman, Jasmine Tan, was indispensable. All delegates paid their tribute after Jasmine’s beautiful speech and cheered for the OC while she introduced
their names. Then, the ceremony reached a climax after an amazing video prepared by the Photography Department, collecting all the memories for us. But still, we should not only look back but also expect the future--led by Nebojsa Nikolic, the new president of IFMSA, a new Team of Officials is taking office now! Every one gave a round of applause sincerely because we knew that a wonderful year is there undoubtedly. Words could hardly express the gratitude of the AM 19 Taiwanese team; we could merely convey them by saying thank you and thank you over and over again. We hope that Taiwan truly touched your heart, and we all left sweet memories on this precious island. Let’s promise one another to meet in the MM 20 Rwanda, and maybe someday in Taiwan again!

Crews Talk
Thank you, News and Media department! We worked hard no matter it was day or night and finally finished the AM POST by working together. Hope we all harvest via this GA! Don't forget to take more rest after the GA.
Partners from the General Affairs Department were extremely good! We often covered one another, and we came up with methods rapidly, so that we were able to deal with any kinds of emergency. Thanks to our leader of the General Affairs Department. We, volunteers, have received a lot of sincere appreciation though our leader didn't hear them in person.
Thank you! Due to every OC and every volunteer from various departments, activities were prepared well. Though there were challenges and something abrupt, we accumulated our efforts and made AM19 complete perfectly. We did let people from everywhere taste the friendliness made in Taiwan!
Thanks to our leaders of the Department of Green and Sustainability because they worked hard. Though we were sometimes neglected, our existence was meaningful. We are the Department of Green and Sustainability!
