hroughout her lifetime, Lawna Gamble has crafted numerous portfolios, spent 1,000s of hours in various therapies and providing counsel, and experienced life transformation in its most organic form. Willow Cove is an arresting combination of her artistic talent, breadth of professional experiences and passionate interest in the modalities that helped her step into her own mental, physical and emotional healing. Lawna spent four years as a mental health professional in Minneapolis, MN. Before she returned to Cleveland in 2018 to care for her aging mother. After this stint of being a primary caregiver, Lawna decided not to re-enter the wworkforce decided to pursue her long-time entrepreneurial interest; thus Willow Cove was born. Willow Cove Art and Wellness Boutique is a dream come true for Lawna who imagined this business in this location while working as a curatorial intern in graduate school. Willow Cove Art and Wellness is a healing sanctuary located in Cleveland’s historic Larchmere neighborhood. Our services focus on personal growth & transformation through the integration of psychotherapy, self-authorship, and creativity. adolescent girls starting at the age of 12 to 15 years old. This program was ignited by experiences she encountered while teaching at a local high school. She witness so many young people feeling inadequate, not feeling beautiful as well as experiencing day to day trauma of family problems, racial injustices, lost of loved ones and then adding isolation due to the pandemic…many young people don’t know how to handle this. Funded with a grant from Neighborhood Connections, Treasure Cove is a 8 week program and the mission…To teach young women how to love themselves. Enrollment for the program is limited to 12 young women. Due to the pandemic the launch of the program was delayed in 2020 but Lawna is planning to launch this spring. The program’s themes and activities are designed round three things: positive connections, personal and collectives strengths, and confidence and competence. The six core sessions will focus on adventures, spiritual, mental, physical, sensory and emotional self-care. Some of the activities the young women will experience are: learning to cook healthy foods, learning self-massage as well as take a guided nature hike while journaling, taking photos and doing nnatur-inspired art projects The sessions will be led by practitioners in various disciplines, as well as a team of presenters that will include some of the Larchmere merchants.
