BEST Community Resource Center Program BEST Community Resource Center (BCRC) is a nonprofit organization in Northeast Ohio. Our mission is to make a positive difference in everyday lives by providing people with a network of support and services essential for actively learning, working, and living in the community. Our goal is to be the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking information to provide resources and supportive services for all human service needs. We work in collaboration with other human service agencies to identify needs in the community and effectively respond to assist anyone seeking help. We provide free and confidential assistance for men, women, youth, seniors and families; regardless of religion, sexual orientation, race, age, political affiliation, ethnicity, military background or ability to pay. BEST Community Resource Center has expanded our efforts by providing a customized training solution. Our Mobile Academic Classroom (MAC), offers an innovative approach to increase access to training throughout Northeast Ohio. MAC creates a quality learning environment for students and instructors that travels to requested locations throughout Northeast Ohio. The MAC was created as a response to the community. It provides members of our community with the opportunity to access resources right in their neighborhoods giving them the foundation to obtain multiple skills in different areas such as Financial Literacy, Career Development, Youth Programs, and so much more. MAC was also designed to provide demand-driven training at various sites, help to retain employees, and keep businesses competitive through skills upgrade and process improvements for incumbent workers. MAC travels throughout Northeast Ohio to provide resources at various community events, trade fairs, and schools in our region. The MAC features six learning stations a teachers station (for younger children), a mini library, encyclopedias, an assortment of learning tools, school supplies, noise cancelling headphones, educational CDs & DVDs, laptops, 2 flat screen televisions, and it’s WIFI accessible.
