Today I am going to share 7 proven ways to uplift your mood. There are different occasions when we really need to get over our stress, anxiety, and depression. The times when we have a job interview, important exams or a

social event to attend. We quickly need to uplift our mood to complete the task. So many times we messed up many things because of our anxiety or mood swings. And people would think that we are incapable or even made us believe that we are not properly functioning human beings. I can understand because I have been through all of this a lot. Now I would explain the 7 seven best ways to uplift your mood and rock the day. These are universal and proven ways for me at least. You can also try and see for yourself. 1. Running Before any event, take some time out and go running. Running helps you release the hormones (I won’t go into physiological details) that helps you relax and bring peace to your mind. It gives you energy and releases stress. And your physiological reactions help you to give a shit about everything that is bad or sad in your life. 2. Dancing

Dancing is the same as running. Just go for an aerobic class, Zumba class and you are not only helping your body to relax but also the act alone will uplift your mood and you will feel light and happy. This will give you the motivation to beat the world. 3. Eating Especially Chocolate Forget dieting and treat yourself with any meal or food you love most. Eat as much as you want and you will feel happy. The is a proven way to uplift your mood instantly. Have your favorite delicious meal and you are good to go for several hours. Eat a bowl full of fresh salad or a piece of chocolate both reduce stress and proved to improve your mood. 4. Mirror Talk Yes, talk to yourself and bring some sense of your own self. Tell yourself that your mental illness does not define you. You are capable to do anything you want to. And tell yourself all the good things happy things and shut the negativity or ward off the thoughts of negative people. Negative people or the negative environment around you is very destructive, but tell yourself that you won’t let it exploit you anymore. And you know who are you and not what people tell you. 5. Well Prepared Nothing beats good planning. Prepare yourself for whatever is your event. Exams, interviews or any social event. Prepare yourself and rehearse everything. Kind of makes a mock test situation for yourself and

familiarize the situation to yourself and practice. Practice is the only key to survive. So in the real event, you feel familiar and comfortable. 6. Watch a Motivational Movie It helps me to get inspiration and motivation. When I watch a real-time movie based on some true events. The struggle of all those awesome people makes me believe that if they can go through all those hardships and find a way I can also do the same. The hope and believe I get from these movies helps to see the more opportunities I have and to look for more positive aspects. This positivity will uplift your mood and also will help you to go through the task.

7. Talk to a positive person If you have a positive, supportive person you can confide in regarding your mental illness. And talk about how stress, anxiety or depression makes things difficult for you. Because sometimes only talking about your mental illness makes you realize that this is something you need to control and you feel better and relax after opening up about it. So talk your heart out and receive some positive feedback and support. This will also surely uplift your mood. These are very small tasks that you can do to uplift your mood. But I also understand that being stressed or anxious you often fail to do even these tasks. But keep trying and you will find a way out.
