Stress and TV All of you might have heard that TV is a way to reduce stress, but in my case, it is a source of a great deal of anxiety for me. For me, stress and TV go hand in hand. The reason behind is the choice of topic or content being displayed and broadcast on TV. Representing women in a most miserable way, violence against women, harassment and much more. And the news channel, a neverending shouting drama creates the most anxiety and stress.
“TV is a noise pollution” It is good that we want to raise awareness, but showing it too much could be very stressful for many of us. It becomes very difficult for me to watch tv or films. Stress and anxiety have affected in such ways that as soon as I start watching some shows my anxiety will also start building up. And it will become impossible for me to finish the program. But this is what I experience. However, research and a lot of people claim that tv shows help to tackle their stress. There are different kind of shows, especially comedy and horror films are proving to relieve stress. There are a lot of motivational and inspirational movies. Personally, I love Peaceful Warriors, The Shawshank Redemption, and Forrest Gump all I can remember now. And the movies or series, which are based on true events helps you see the side of the world and the perspective. These perspectives are already there, but in such mental condition, you are unable to see any such. So it is good that TV enables you to look for other opinions and perspectives. And about horror movies, I can’t stomach them so don’t watch either. So here I have compiled the best movies and TV series that inspired me and I want you to watch them too. HOMELESS TO HARVARD
