Design board taking inspiration from the elemental trends colour board. This will remain consistent throughout combing it with the idea of organic lines, shape and organisms forming inspiration. Here exploring silhouette of the shirt in panels, shaping, layers and fine detailing.


Second design board exploring detailing of the shirt. The use of shape, texture, techniques and finishing’s are key to this design and Bora Aksu’s style. Continuing the influence of organic lines and textures that can be shown through fine detailing.


The final design takes inspiration from a variety of Bora Aksu’s styles as well as combing it with the elemental trend. Here this design is based on the idea of femininity, romance and elegance using very soft, rich and gentle fabrics/colours. The design consists of a very basic bodice that is divided into panels to create shape and fitting then adding a gathered panel at the bottom to create volume. Bora Aksu’s style is based around the idea of fine detailing, the sleeves in this design show this having a double-layered sleeve with pin tucks and ruffled cuffs. Adding shape to the neck a ruffled collar is also added with a very small detailing panel within the collar. To finish the garment off bias binding will be made and added to the bottom panel, cuffs, collar and sleeves creating shape in a very elegantly. This shirt is aimed to create a fairy tale atmosphere and whoever wears it will feel beyond a princess through integrate design and detailing.
