The 2022 Summer VolunTEEN program had over 100 participants who dedicated over 5000 hours of community service. They volunteered at sites throughout Anaheim, such as Oak Canyon Nature Center’s Day Camp, CampVenture, Haskett Library and more! Through their hard work and dedication they were able to give back to the community and learn how to be leaders. Applications for the 2023 program will open in February!

Park Improvements at Center Greens
Shortly after the children’s playground is built in September, we will start work on renovations to other areas of the park. The improvements will include a challenge course, new skate park, butterfly garden, upgraded basketball court, loop trail, meandering pathways, shaded seating and picnic areas, shaded community plaza, native landscaping, and other park amenities. The renovations will be completed and the park will be re-opened to the public in 2023!

The City of Anaheim has partnered with the Anaheim Ducks, YMCA, and KABOOM! to bring a new 2-12 yr. children’s playground to the community at Center Greens! This final design is based on playground drawings collected from more than 60 kids during a July 15th design workshop hosted at the Downtown Anaheim Community Center. We invite you to join us on September 16th to build and celebrate this new amenity! The playground will be open to the public while the rest of the park gets renovated!
