We are excited to offer four weeks of wilderness fun for your teen this year! Learn the fundamentals of surviving in the wilderness in this adventurous camp for teens ages 12-15. This art camp is filled with creative and fun projects. Explore a variety of media such as acrylics on canvas, watercolors, pastels, clay sculpture, and more! COMMUNITY DONATIONS

City of Anaheim’s Dia de los Muertos Event received a generous donation of $5,000 from CALOPTIMA. Their contribution helped fund beautiful altars, cultural performances, and engaging activities that honored tradition and brought families together. Thanks to their partnership we were able to provide a memorable experience that celebrated the rich heritage of this special day.

ALTRUSA INTERNATIONAL OF ANAHEIM donated $750 to support the Native Art Festival at Founder's Park, which was hosted by the Anaheim Public Library. The ANAHEIM HISTORICAL SOCIETY also donated $300 to the Native Art Festival and $300 to support the Fall Acorn Festival hosted by Oak Canyon Nature Center.

THE ROTARY CLUB OF ANAHEIM donated $500 to the City of Anaheim’s Library Division’s Accessibility and Communication Initiative to support their goal of better resources to help assist patrons who are neurodivergent, who experience visual barriers of any degree, the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, and those who face social and cultural barriers.

PATTI HIRAHARA donated $1,000 for the continuing maintenance and materials for the digital Hirahara Family Photo Collection of the Anaheim Public Library's website of one of Anaheim's Japanese American families.

FRIENDS OF CANYON HILLS LIBRARY donated $880 towards STEAM Halloween classes at Canyon Hills Library.

ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION donated $14,177 to various programs at the Central, Euclid, Haskett, & Ponderosa Library branches.

FRIENDS OF ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY donated $3,201 towards various programs at the East Anaheim Library branch.

The Anaheim Community Services Department recognizes the following organizations and individuals for their outstanding donations in late 2024.

IN-KIND DONATIONS

JANE NEWELL donated craft supplies used to create new display pieces during the Anaheim Heritage Center’s “Haunted Archive” display in October.

Oak Canyon Nature Center received a variety of bird taxidermies from JESUS ZAMBRANO to help enhance the educational nature programs and provide valuable learning experiences for participants and visitors.

The ANAHEIM MOBILE FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER’S POSADA HOLIDAY STOPS received generous donations of 37 food vouchers to help assist families with food preparations for the holiday season from NORTHGATE GONZALEZ LLC, sweet bread and champurrado from LA IDEAL BAKERY, and over 84 cups filled with various goodies for teens who helped assist with the event from STARBUCKS #59228 off Lincon Ave.

YOUNG LEADERS OF ORANGE COUNTY (YLOC) continue to support the Haskett Branch Library by tutoring elementary school students every Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. providing math worksheets and curriculum.

COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP OF ORANGE COUNTY for ongoing community support by providing diapers and pull-ups as part of their emergency services.

We want to thank the continued support of CATERINA'S CLUB, LOVE ANAHEIM, DWELLING PLACE ANAHEIM, SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, RENEWABLE FARMS-RIVERBED FARM, BRACKEN'S KITCHEN, PARK IT- MARKET, and FRIENDS OF FAMILIES for providing the food pantries with prepared meals, fresh vegetables, and fruits for the Anaheim families in need.

• Requests for refund made 24 hours or less prior to the first class meeting are subject to a 15% withdrawal fee.

• Refunds will not be granted after the second class meeting. Refunds must be requested prior to the start of the second class meeting.
