ANAHEIM COMMUNITY SERVICES NEWS
Youth Program Staff Provides Relief Like our residents in Anaheim, Youth Programs has had to adjust due to the current mandate to stay home. We have gone from afterschool programming to direct relief work and have done it with a positive attitude. Our goal to serve our community stands true even when our community is instructed to stay home. Food Pantries have been set up where Youth Program staff assist in making Food Bags to be distributed at various city facilities. We continue to provide activities for children by making craft kits and distributing them with lunch grab-and-go meals from the Ponderosa Resource Center, Miraloma Family Resource Center, and Danbrook Elementary. In an effort to reach all of our students, we have mailed a letter of encouragement along with coloring sheets to keep them busy while they take a break from school. To brighten up people’s walks in the park, Youth Program staff created obstacle courses for adults and kids alike using chalk art on the sidewalk. We will continue to do everything we can to enrich the lives of the residents of Anaheim.
