Logo Design The main uses of the logo will be with the full colour version as it is easily recognisable, stands out andd appeals to children, while the blue variant will be used within the corporate branding products and where it is necessary to only have one colour (such as for printing
costs). The main blue colour will also be used throughout the branding for text and blocks of colour. The name was developed from the idea of how the charity
programme will work to instil a sense of competetiveness in the children they would be working with, and to also push the idea of pursuing careers in art and design. 1

Custom Typeface & Colour Schemes The logo has been developed from a custom typeface that is also used for headers and titles throughout the branding and printed/ web ephemera. The typeface represents a childs handwriting, and is more appealing to the target audience than an existing typeface.
The custom typeface works with Helvetica so that it is easily used on screen and in printed products. The colour scheme for the logo is extensive, but as the products
would all be printed at a discounted price fr a charity and in lower quality, it would mostly be digital printing which would not make it necessary to reduce the numbers of colours. 2

Homepage design
Showcase page design
Website Design The website will act as one of the main promotional forms for the arts programme, and will be the primary point of information for most parents learning about the activities the programme provides and how the whole charity will function. The website pages are
a homepage which will introuduce the charity programme, an activities page that explains what the children will learn through the programme lessons and workshops, a page listing the full day workshops available and the gallery exhibitions of childrens work, a
showcase page which will feature selected submissions of work from children involved in the programme throughout the United Kingdom, and a contact us page for parents and sponsors to find the details of the charity. 3

T Shirt Designs The two t shirt designs for the branding are very similar, and simply use the different logo ideas for each of them. The childrens t shirt uses the full colour logo along with the words ‘art student’ and the adults t shirt uses the blue logo with the words ‘art t shirt’.
The t shirts will be printed cheaply as there are numerous companies which will print long runs of charity t shirts for discounts as they will settle for a lower quality. The quality is closer to that of transfers and vinyl stickers rather than screen printed, so the
finished t shirts will be replicated in this style.
