Extended Practice Studio Brief Title: Brief 7 - Lydia Marie Fashion Synopsis:

Brand identity for menswear designer and tailor Lydia Marie including personal stationery, clothing tags and labels and a look book design.

Evaluation: Although stressful at times, this brief has been one of my favourites to work on during this module. I produced the branding for a fashion student and having the work I did appear on her collection was a good boost to the brief. I think the branding I produced for her has been really successful, and she is very happy with it. Lydia as a client knew what she wanted or did not want when she saw it which made the development stages quite stressful and I did get stuck with how to develop it a couple of times. However, the finished logo complements her collection which is quite an achievement as I was designing a logo for a collection before it existed.

I think this brief is definitely one of my stronger ones from throughout the module and one which I could see myself still working with in the future. I had wanted to see how her branding translated onto a web portfolio but as she changed her mind about wanting a website and due to time constraints I did not have a chance to properly explore this. If I go back to this brief or were to do it again I would definitely push for seeing where else the branding could have gone.

During this brief I also got to experience my very first fashion photography shoot where I was having to communicate with a professional photographer she had brought in to get the images I needed for the look book. This was quite a learning curve and in general this whole brief has taught me a lot about how to brand an individual, but also how to brand their work within the same brand.
