THE BULLETIN BOARD – MEET THE CLUB

Meet Emma Densmore – President “I am a senior, majoring in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood. I have been in Circle K for 4 years now, and I am currently serving as the President. As President, I oversee the Eboard and club as a whole. It is my job to make sure things are always going smoothly and I find opportunities to the club. I also work closely with other Circle K Presidents in our district. My favorite thing about Circle K is building friends and connections with those who share the same passion for service as I do!” Meet Jordan Parkin – Vice President “I am currently in my fifth year and in the school of nursing. This is my fourth year in Circle K. As Vice President, I am responsible for helping the president with any needs, overseeing each committee and its members, as well as make weekly newsletters to highlight past or future events that occur each week, or any club, district or international updates. My favorite thing about Circle K is the multitude of opportunities there are to give back. Circle K truly embodies it's live to serve love to serve motto and I am so grateful to have found a group of passionate young leaders who share a common interest to serve others.”

THE BULLETIN BOARD – MEET THE CLUB

Meet Nancy Savage – Facility Advisor “I teach several different courses in the School of Business Management and Marketing Department. I volunteer for the Salvation Army events when I can and in the past spent a lot of time with Lighthouse Path of Pontiac. I also work with several different student organizations to make fleece hats for the homeless. I also attend other brief volunteer events as I believe it is critically important for all of us to give back. I have several children and grandchildren who are very important to me. I am a huge crafter and make socks and blankets all of the time to keep my hands busy. I also am a strong believer in mentoring and work with many students to help them learn and grow outside of the classroom. I am truly looking forward to becoming a member of the Circle K team.”

Meet Stacey Buchanan – Club Advisor “This is my third year being Oakland's Kiwanis Advisor. I love being the Kiwanis advisor to Circle K at Oakland University because I am able to give back to the club that gave me so much when I was in college and helped me grow as a leader. In my free time I like to read, spend time with my new kittens, play board and video games, watch movies, and hang out with my friends. I also love to travel!!!”

My favorite thing about Circle K is all the new friends I have made.” Meet Hanna Boussi – Service Chair “I am a Senior majoring in Social Work with a concentration in Addiction Studies and minors in Sociology and Child Welfare. My position entails working with the branches of the Kiwanis Family and coming up with ways to bond and continue to grow as a KFam. My favorite part of Circle K is The Kiwanis Family!” Meet Alyssa Stehlin – Fundraising Chair “I am a Junior majoring in STEP: History with a Social Studies endorsement minor. My position is to find and carry out fundraisers for the club so that we can raise funds for our club and various charities. THE BULLETIN BOARD – MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Member of the Month September: Drake Lambright

Drake is our member of the month for September. Drake is one of our new members and we are so glad to have her be apart of the club! During her time in Key Club, she was the Club President, Lieutenant Governor, and Governor for the District! Although she is a freshman and learning all there is to know of college life, she does not let leadership roles and responsibilities pass by her. As soon as Drake joined the club, she took on the position of Kiwanis Family Relations Chair. Her favorite event was the Kiddie Race at the Lil Brooksie Race! Congratulations Drake on being awarded member of the month!
