Water Safety & Supervision This serves as a timely reminder for all parents/ carers to actively supervise their children at all times. Whether you’re here for learn to swim lessons, or just taking the kids out on a hot day. Please remember: Remain within arm’s reach. Children must be actively supervised at all times, this means you need to be close enough in an emergency. Lifeguards are here to direct pool operations, follow any directions they give you.
Intensive Swimming Lessons Our popular intensive lessons will be running for 2 weeks this September/ October holidays at the Gosford Olympic Pool. Focusing on improving your child’s swimming on consecutive days. If you book your children into both weeks we are offering a 10% discount. This equates to $12.33 per session. These classes are great for the retention of new skills learned and are thoroughly recommended by our teaching staff. Our school holiday programs begin 22nd September. 25 Metre Pool
At the last the refurbishment is complete. We have had wonderful feedback from our customers regarding the refurbishment of the 25 metre pool. The completed work included: Old roof completely replaced with fabulous new one, lighting, flooring, showers, hot water system, toilets, baby change facilities, sinks, mirrors and a repaint too. Thank you so much for your kind words and understanding during the period of refurbishment.

Update
Swimmer of the Term Well done to Samuel Flakus on being awarded our swimmer of the term. Sam began as a high Starfish in our summer 2014 School Holiday LTS program. Progressing steadily through Turtle level to become a very proud Goldfish. Sam is a gifted competitor in other sports and areas of his life but when it came to swimming he found it a little challenging. After months of perseverance and a huge effort he has discovered a new confidence and is looking forward to summer and swimming with his friends. Big thumbs up and well done Sam.
Coaches Corner Our featured swimmer this term is Sciona Riley. Sciona swims in the swim programs Target Squad and is recognised for her positive and consistent approach to her training. Sciona a regular in both morning and afternoon squads, has a clear goal of aspiring to compete in the coming summers Coast and Valley swimming championships. Her application and commitment will afford her every opportunity of reaching that goal. A member of the Gosford Stingrays Swimming Club and participant in development carnivals held across the Central Coast all serve to provide opportunities to this dedicated young swimmer. Spring is always an exciting time in the squad program as we enter the long course season. Our squads return to swimming in the outdoor 50m pool and feel the sun on their backs as they once again become accustomed to training outdoors. Members of swimming clubs will again, begin to focus on representation at the Coast and Valley Swimming Championships this November. Assessments for inclusion in the squad program can be arranged on a daily basis by contacting reception on 4304 7250
Administration Off to big school? Families are being offered the opportunity to move children to afternoons who are off to big school in 2015. This is beneficial so children can settle into afternoons before they begin school. Are your details current, please see reception if you have new contact details? We will only use your email or mobile number to either contact you in case of an emergency or relevant swim school information. Our aim is to only send four newsletters a year with occasional brief updates. We respect your privacy and you can unsubcribe at anytime.
