Water Safety & Supervision This serves as a timely reminder for all parents/ carers to actively supervise their children at all times. Whether you’re here for learn to swim lessons, or just taking the kids out on a hot day. Please remember: Remain within arm’s reach. Children must be actively supervised at all times, this means you need to be close enough in an emergency. Lifeguards are here to direct pool operations, follow any directions they give you.

Update

Swimmer of the Term

Huge congratulations to Ebony Raynor PLC swimmer of the term. Ebony started swimming lessons at PLC in 2012 as a little Dolphin. Since then Ebony has progressed through the Dolphin level and is now at the high end of Transition, not far from reaching Achievers. Initially struggling with her breaststroke but after much hard work Ebony’s whole 4 strokes are now looking beautiful. Keep up the good work.

Coaches Corner NSW state age winter championships 2014 results. Peninsula Leisure swimming squad athletes produced a fantastic weekend of swimming performances. Lachlan Bradish was the outstanding athlete with 6 medal performances from 10 events plus 2 relays. Myles Bailey finished with 3 medals from 7 events. Kaylah Holmes 1 medal from 4 events. Mimosa Henderson had huge drops in times also and was a standout with her races. The remainder of the swimmers all produced time drops and great top ten positions. Former squad swimmer Rachel Wood also won 5 medals in many events with three gold and two silver as her highlights. Rachel swam for the Woy Woy swim club but will transfer to her new training program club The Hills after the winter season has finished. Rachel broke the 15yrs girls 200 fs country state record in her final event. Woy Woy swim club finished 12th on the point score and 13th on the medal tally. The swimmers were a credit to the club and swim program, with many coaches commenting on how well the swimmers performed and behaved professionally.
