OFFICER'S MESSAGE

EDITOR'S LETTER LAUREN HUYNH Hey guys and HAPPY APRIL! It's your new bulletin editor Lauren and this is my first newsletter! I'm not going to lie, I was very intimidated at first but I'm actually very pleased on how this newsletter turned out. I know this is a very pink and

PRESIDENT'S BEN BUNYATIPANON ADDRESS Hey Key Clubbers! I’m super excited to kick off the service year with everyone! Our past few meetings, although small have been SO MUCH FUN. We really have an amazing key club group going into next year and I

girly newsletter but I am starting off my term bright and bold. Past newsletter covers were all dull so this is the start of a change! I hope to continue creating colorful, engaging, and inclusive pages that you guys can enjoy. As you can tell, the theme for this month is cherry blossoms and the color pink (my favorite color). This is inspired by all of the beautiful cherry blossoms that are starting to bloom everywhere. I hope you all had lots of fun for spring break and had safe travels (send me pics)! With DCON behind us, I am excited for this upcoming service term. #serviceinspring In love and service, Lauren Huynh <3

CANNOT WAIT for all of the fun stuff and service projects we have planned. The service project committee’s hygiene drive was also recently sponsored by the King County Library System which is a huge deal, so congratulations service projects on your success, and we couldn’t have done it without the contributions of the members! Lastly, I want to encourage everyone to keep attending meetings even as we are approaching the end of the year. I know that motivation can be lost after DCON season but we really do have so many fun activities planned for this year so don’t miss out! In love and service, Ben Bunyatipanon

DRAGON OF THE MONTH

KHANH

Our dragon of the month is Khanh! After Interviewing the club president Ben, he has told me these things about Khanh: “I’ve know Khanh since middle school and he’s really done a full 360, really committing himself to the club. We like to joke that this is the new Khanh and I like to call him key clubbed Khanh because of how much he truly loves this club. After DCON, he kept saying how much he I loves Key Club over and over again. He’s always asking me when we’re gonna volunteer and even I can’t keep up with how active he wants to be with the club. I’m so proud of how far he’s come.”

A MONTH IN REVIEW

There aren't that many pictures this month bc WOW time has flown by fast! These pictures recap one of our service events where we wrote apple cards that are to be sent to the homeless in Seattle, as well as one of our dedicated members Bryan enjoying the blossoms at UW. Hehehe it matched the theme! The second page is filled with DCON pictures! I can't believe it has already been a month since DCON, I miss it so much already! And then a cute picture from one of our bonding meetings!

A MONTH IN REVIEW

DCON EXPERIENCE Hi! This is so cool! Im glad to be apart of this newsletter, to sum up my dcon experience is life changing. Getting to understand all the possibilities of changing and improving not only my community but the entire world is mind blowing. It gives me the motivation to work harder and have fun doing it. - Jordan Tam

DCON had a really strong vibe, and it was nice to see so many key clubs meet for the same purpose. -Joseph Tsang

I had a fun time hanging out with my close friends and meeting some old ones. I thought it was very cool to see the amount of passion that people shared for service and seeing new officers taking over. -Ming Do Wow! I've never felt so inspired in my life. From the passionate spirit battles and singing our hearts out at opening session, it was so clear to see that we were all there for the common good of our community and world. -Jayla Perkins

DCON EXPERIENCE I had SO much fun at DCON and am tryna fill up this space. Comment the cherry blossom emoji if you see this

I chose to be in keyclub because I wanted to be aware of service opportunities and to be apart of something at hazen. Dcon was a great experience because it made me realize that this was what being apart of a club felt like, I never thought I would do half the things I did at Dcon but it was a really nice feeling finally being out of my comfort zone and being proud of my school and club. -Khanh Phung

This years dcon was really fun and exciting! During dcon I was able to learn how to be a good leader and how to get a job. Along with these great workshops I was able to meet many new people and by trading pins. One of the most memorable experiences from dcon was governors ball. This was a time to say goodbye to immediate past officers and hello to new officers. In addition we also were able to have fun and dance! -Tiffany Chin
